  • Just put some money in premium bonds....how exactly does it work?

    Prizes every month? What day?

Prize draws are the first of each month.

If you've just made a deposit you may have to sit out the following draw though. I handed over my cash last July but the first draw I was entered for was the September one. Not sure how they work it out exactly.

Just won 25 pound in this months draw.

Held PB for over 20 years and this is only the second time that I have won, can't remember how much I won last time, it wasn't much

I know, I know, the draw is random, but every time I have topped up the first month the new money has been entered has won a prize (£25).... strange?

I got £50 through the post this morning. Plenty of £25 wins on a £3000 stake.

Mrs has also got £3000 in but has only had one £25 in over 2 years and isn't happy.

Hardly scientific but I've suggested that she withdraws the money and puts it in my name-I just seem to be luckier with the bonds.

She needs to stick to the scratch cards. Seems to do well on them at least that's what she tells me.
