I wouldn't worry - I'm not on the list (Bristol), and neither is anyone outside England by the look of it. I've still won a few hundred this year

More typically sloppy 'journalism' spreading half-truths and lies about premium bonds!  If it's true that 3.84% of prizes were won by those registered as living in Essex (and no particular reason to doubt that), then by itself that says nothing about which county has the 'best odds of winning prizes', as that sort of analysis would require weighting according to the number of bonds held in each county.

If, for the sake of argument, there are twice as many bonds held in Essex as in Kent, then the odds for a Kent winner (based on recent prize history) would be better than Essex.

Of course, the odds aren't based on location at all though!

Are the big winners announced via the winners accounts and/or prize check today, or do you have to wait for all size prizes (except million) until actual results day which is tomorrow this month?

1997 (£100 batch)
2000 (£500 batch)
And two from 2020 (£4,000 & another £4,000 batch)

Prize checker not working for me yet, I get a "Hold Tight" message. Presumably they haven't put the really big prizes in yet. That must be it.
