    Morning :hello:

((((smoky)))) thinking of you all today.

Benthosboy - good to hear you are feeling positive and upbeat today :T Keep it up, you've got an army of honorary mums and sisters on this board to give you a virtual hug when you need it :)

Well I'm back at w**k after the Easter break, and the weekend went soooooo fast :( Of course, now it's no longer a holiday, the weather has decided it's spring

Another day of good intentions went to pot yesterday (maybe I should be posting this on the Confessions thread) - I did no housework, no cooking, wrote half of one opera review and a quarter of two others (I had intended to complete all three), spent £46  between two supermarkets (including exhausting the whole of APRIL's "household goods" budget by stocking up on light bulbs and kitchen roll), and spent the evening watching TV and playing computer games :o

Today I WILL: finish the opera reviews, make a batch of mushroom pasta, work out a cooking plan for the next week and a half (it's not so much a meal plan, more a "which evenings do I have time for proper cooking and how much space is there in the freezer" plan). I had been intending to go to the gym today, but I couldn't be ar5ed to get out of bed in time to get into the office early so I could have a long lunch :o and if I go this evening I know I will end up not getting the other things done... so I will go to the gym tomorrow lunchtime, for Aqua Aerobics with my favourite instructor :D

Must be off, see you later

    Rzl xx

    Morning!!!

Benthosboy - Taken your Monty Python DVDs????? I think she deserves a good slap for that. On a more helpful note, Amazon Marketplace and Ebay are great for second hand books - suggest that she tries there :)

Mioliere - Your tales of your DH being forgetful are so funny, because my OH is exactly the same. Somedays I feel like his PA, handing him his packed bag and making him sign a form whilst he is running out of the door :).

Anniebooklover - I hate that feeling of lethargy. When I get it, I just turn my music up and have a really good dance.

Aussie - Apparently, bathing your stye frequently with really hot water helps

Well, we have our dishwasher plumbed in now and I have to say - how did I ever manage without it? It's great, just put the dirty dishes in it and the kitchen is automatically clean! :D

I am working at 12, so need to make some lunch (although I don't have any bread ). I put a load of washing on the line this morning, had a shower, sorted the recycling out and unloaded the dishwasher.

Hm, wonder what to have for dinner. I really need to do a freezer inventory, as I need to defrost my big freezer ready to put out in the shed so that I can get the little freezer in.

I haven't really been keeping up with the thread recently, so hope you are all ok - glad to see you posting again Jackie O, and grannybroon. Have mised you both.

    Have a good one

congrats on the weight loss Donna - i`m going to have to carve bits off me if i want to lose any i think, it`s just too stubborn and won`t move.:rotfl:

Nice to see you`re feeling better about things Benthosboy - there`s nothing better than waking up to 2 houndies who are pleased to see you and wagging their tails, i swear our two sit staring at me willing me to wake and when i do they go mad :D

    (((((HUGS))))) for Smoky

Well so far today i`ve hardly done a thing, i`ve taken the loaf out of the bm and hung up the washing and i`ll be in the bath shortly then walking the hounds.
I have to leave for w**k then but i`m off tomorrow so i plan on catching up with the chores then.

The keys on the lappy seem to be sticking and i have to re read what i type to make sure it makes sence lol, hope this dosen`t keep happening everything takes twice as long as it should.

    Me again:D

Have now caught up with the missed threads.

Haribo, yes I will have another bedroom to stash ironing, but once this backlog is processed, I won't have a fraction of the amount, so won't get backlogs:T :T :D:D It made me think, when all the boys were at school and DH at work I had a minimum of 25 shirts a week to deal with:eek: And I didn't get behind back then, I don't know how:rotfl:

GB, I think you mixed me up with mioliere whose FIL has had surgery;) It certainly explains a pm I received:rotfl: Hope your FIL is still doing well, mioliere:D

Must go and do something, house has been very neglected last few days. I'm never a domestic goddess, but I do have some standards. Bathroom and kitchen get wiped every day, but I think both need a proper clean today, not just a lick and a promise.:o

    Bye, CM x

pipkin - i have a lovely hot water bottle, with a Bagpuss cover - and although not perfect, it does help with cramps (and Bagpuss says 'its rather nice to have a cuddle' if you cuddle his head!!) The doctor used to prescibe me big bullet painkillers, but you could only take 3 a day and i was neding more than double that. Luckily im not that bad anymore, but its still not good so really can sympathise with you ((HUGS))

Elona - was it you who burnt her arm? How is it now??

dlb - WELL DONE - you are doing so well this year :T

All those with OHs who dont listen - makes me feel a bit better about being on my own hearing your stories!!!

CM - glad you are not too sad about DS xx

Well, ive had a shower, washed my hair and im dressed!!! I have made a stew and its cooking away in the SC, and we are now going to stroll up to the shop to get DSs magazine - feel like ive done something after the last couple of lazy days!!!

Flippin heck. She doesn't post for a couple of days and now we can't shut her up. :p

I know what you mean about the ironing. It's never ending in this house. Once I clear the pile I like not to wash stuff for a couple of days so the ironing pile stays empty, but that justputs me back to square one. :o

It's MSE that's to blame for everything taking twice as long. ;)

    Hi all.

MRS FLITTERSNOOP and BLAIRWEECH - I'm so glad I'm not the only one with an absent-minded DH! Mine, like yours, Mrs Flittersnoop, is selectively deaf and is always asking me to repeat something someone has said on the TV - I think that's what makes me doze off in front of it all the time!

PIPKIN - I hope you start feeling better soon.

DONNA - congrats on your weight loss!

    CM - thanks, he is!

Well, I did tell myself I was NOT going to come back on here until I had hoovered and ironed and, needless to say, I haven't done either. I have, though, prepped the veg, fed the very greedy birds and completed the paperwork so that's not so bad.

    Definitely going now!

Getting a tiny bit jumpy as the maternity cover could be comming to an end and it is a fantastic school despite the mega commute. Have to sort out veg rack, fridge, and freezer today. Also need to go to supermarket. Cant believe just how quickly things slip:o
