    Afternoon all !

Well, I;m trying to carry on and finish off yesterdays list of ''stuff to do'...........not doing too well. Soon as I start doing something the phone rings !
Got up at 7am to get one lad off to work (was asked to leave last week as he had 'attitude' the boss said but they want him in today)
Other lad sat and waited and waited for his taxi to school............eventually I phoned them and it turned out the taxi driver had an accident last week, car was a write off so Education Transport were told and another taxi arranged. Unfortunatly Ed.Tran.forgot to tell them to pick our lad up !!!! After much apologising from them and several more phone calls managed to get taxi to take him to school !

Trying to arrange friends birthday basket of bits and bobs...........phone rings yet again............and so it goes on so I gave up !!
Still I did get the paperwork done and that was the all important thing today.......all done and in the post to the various departments

At least the suns shining..............no more snow since yesterday afternoon and thats gone now (relief !)

Have a good day and hugs (((((((((((:o ))))))))))))) to those who need them

I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Mioliere, what does OECS stand for?

Sorry, Bethebee, I shouldn't just assume that everyone knows what OECS stands for! They are an organisation that sews squares into blankets; we can send all our charity squares to them for sewing up which is brilliant. Here is the link to their site http://uk.geocities.com/oecs_central/ it's very interesting and they do fantastic work for good causes.

CATZNINE - you must be so relieved that your friend is on the mend. What a shock for you all.

Well, I've just got back from the village so I'm going to see if I have any work to do and, if not, I shall do my knitting.

    See you later.

Afternoon all................................(((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))) if you need one.

Smokey......I hope you managed to have a reasonable time over the weekend, this week is going to be doubly hard for you............take care, we are all here for you................

Nice morning, we went to the lottie......why didn't my mother buy me a meccano set when I was younger?????my OH is hopeless at putting things together, I just struggled to put the second cloche togetehr, you would have though having put the other one together a couple of weeks ago, this one would be a doddle....forget it, I now have a blister in my right hand palm.

I also took the plastic off one of the beds and drew it up ready to plant the spuds........we need to do them in the next couple of weeks. We are off house sitting on 7th April.

We have had a letter from Windsor life, they are still trying to sort out our insurance, its taking them long enough, to my mind its quite simple, they should have paid us £168.87 on 2nd January and they didn't when they did pay us they took tax off it!!!!!!!! what takes time to sort that out????? We also had our CT and HB notice for this year, we get the princely sum of £23.75 HB and £6.81 CTB...........as I have said before if we could manage without it, I would!!!! I sometimes wonder if its worth the hassle. at the end of April it will all be reviewed again when we send in the increases in our civil service pensions.....watch this sapce, it will go down even more. We then wait for a letter from the office to tell us what our new rent will be............about the same as last year I would think............

I have increased both our diesel budget and our housekeeping budget, OH has also had a small rise in his pocket money.............we should still be about £30 a month better off.....now what can I spend that on??????????wine and chocolate??????????????

No sewing this afternoon.............I need to unpick some pillow cases ready to embroider, if I feel like it I might just embroider out a couple more pockets for bags...............

Spag bol and cheese cake for supper, a glass each of red wine, spinning it out till we go shopping tomorrow.....Mr T's for the monthly shop.........including some bits for our Hols..............do you think I could get away with using my Romuska in the room at the viallage when we stay overnight???? I was thinking of taking an 'all in one stew'so we at least had one hot meal on our 2 days trip down to the South of France...............wonder if we will get all the other guests sniffing outside the door??????????????
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

my kids are on hols for a couple of weeks now so bedlam here.
2 tiles flew off the roof saturday in the wind, luckily the buildings insurance covers them and they are arranging for a builder to ring me to sort when to come a fix it. im just glad no one was walking by our house as one smashed over the public footpath after embedding itself in the grass verge!!!!

got a load of washing out, im all caught up on my ironing which is amazing for me.
ive made and hung a door curtain over the weekend
1/2 knitted another square and done a bit of a cross stitch.
ive got loads of half started kits and kits that havent seem the light of day yet as well as a drawer full of wool and bags full of ribbons so im going to start getting 'crafty' and will use them up to make lots of pressies for next christmas.
must make a couple of weetabix cakes this afty and some more hobnobs

just had 'free' dinner for the kids as my very nice neighbour just came round with a still hot pizza she'd brought which was too much for her, she had one slice and wondered if my kids could finish it off. it didnt take them long-it looked lovely spinach and cheese, and very kind of her

i hope everyones day has something good in it

    Oh Dear

Just had a run in with the guy who is cutting down branches in the garden next but one to us. The trees get so overgrown it really encroaches on neighbour and us. The contractor has said just because the branches overhang next door - not his problem! Next door neighbour out so she can't deal with the problem. Have gone round to see the neighbour who is paying for work done and he is trying to sort out - if he is paying to get a job done then it should be done properly. Oh dear what have I done?

I know how you feel - I hate being expected to be grateful for somthing that I know I will have to do again!!!!

DH's speciality is to use a brillo pad on the non stick pans!!

I have explained nicely, I have pleaded with and I have shouted!!!!

It makes no difference so now I just make sure he is with me when I have to buy a new one.;)

Oh don't get me started on what he did to my lovely Jamie Oliver Tefal 'You'll Need to Extend Your Mortgatge to Buy Me' frying pan .

I was ill (poorly sick in bed) for one day last November. OH thinks  "Ah ha - fry up for tea . Must be easy - takes Mrs Watcher about 20 minutes till it's on the table".

He then over the space of half an hour welds 6 sausages and half a pound of bacon to my beloved pan..

The following day I found the offending item (pan, not OH) bunged in the sink with some of the carbonised meat chipped off. Poor pan still isn't fully recovered. Lots of soaking in Fairy Liquid brought off the worst. The only reason it's non stick now is that I 'season' it every now and then and never wash it in the dishwasher.

You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.

Oi you lot - please :heart:GIVE BLOOD  - you never know when you and yours might need it back! 67 pints so far.
