OS Daily Tuesday 25th March

Off to get the sticky...............
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Tuesday 25th March. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning everyone
Back at work today  This long weekend has flown.
Still I managed to catch up with all the ironing yesterday, so I've only got to make packed lunches this morning.
Need to get some sausages out of the freezer for sausage and pasta bake this evening.
Have a great day everyone (((((hugs)))))

While you're getting it I'll say good morning
to you and all to follow....
Back to work today, at least it will be a distraction from the surrounding hassle.... Finding it difficult to summon up any energy/enthusiasm to keep going at the moment, would like to just run away.
However, found the "adventures in bread dough" thread yesterday so made some of the pull-apart bread drowned in cheese. It is gorjuss......! lol I will be taking some for my lunch today

Morning SOMO1 & everyone else.
Off to work here soon, at least it's not snowing or raining, either of them makes it difficult to get Katy in the car.
Big hugs to Smokey & everyone else in need.
Hubby's not working for a while so I'll leave him a list of chores, lol.
Have a good day one & all.
Hugs Hester

morning stressed squigly and HH,
DD is back to school today, could have done with her having her holiday now, but ours is in 2 weeks  . Its bitter cold here, ice on the roads.
I have loads of washing to get done today, will put a load on before the school run to get a head start. Will have a good tidy through, and prepare a roast dinner for tonight, I have a huge piece of pork to cook for tonight, its nice being away, but even nicer coming home, there is nothing like your own bed.
I also have to do an online shop. So busy day before going back to W**k tomorrow.
Hugs to all that need them today, special ones for smokey and the children.
Martyn how is your knitting going0 -

Morning All
Had a lovely weekend off. Really needed the little break. My car decided it didn't want to start this morning, so it looks like I need another new battery - only replaced it in December:mad: We had lots of snow over the weekend, but none of it settled.
Got tomorrow off work too and I'm going to the Ideal Home Show with Mum :T
Got to write a letter to the landlord at the flat to say I need to replace the windows. They won't accept my request over the phone. Finally heard from the mortgage company as to when they're taking my first payment and how much it'll be.
Mum made some lovely scones yesterday courtesy of Mrs Beeton. I gave her the book for Christmas and this is the first recipe used from it.
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Morning all,
Hard frost here this morning but skies are bright.
Dinner tonight is pasta, looking forward to that.
Boys back at school for a few weeks now so after the school walk it FREEDOOOOM for me for a few hours and as it is not raining only freezing, will go out for a few hours.
House is clean and tidy, all chores done, even washing out on the line - it will dry eventually:rolleyes:
Hope you all have a good day.
Hugs and best wishes to all
 to all

Morning All :hello:,
I need to catch up today after everything going to pot over the long weekend. OH thinks he's helping (*bless  *) but I've had to re-do two loads of washing and each time he put the dishwasher on it's needed to be uncrammed, huge lumps of food rinsed from the dishes, the filter cleaned and then repacked with half the load. Similar story with the WM - just 'cos you can cram every item of clothing in the washing basket into the the WM doesn't mean you have to!!!! It's not money saving if it's not clean and needs washing again!!!!!!!!................. and breathe
.
Black Bob the Delinquent Dog cut his foot quite badly on some discarded glass in the woods on Easter Sunday which needed an operation that night. Thank goodness for PetPlan. £125 of the bill so far was just for "out of hours" charges:eek:. He needs to see the vet again today to check his stitches.
DS1(13) has twanged his dental brace again. Must be the 8th or 9th time in 7 weeks. I keep telling him not to eat anything on the 'banned list', but as a teenager, he knows far better than the highly trained orthodontist with decades of experience.
I need to shop too. No meal plan yet, so I should do that next.
((((((Hugs)))))) to all that need them, especially smoky and the kids.
ETA: Just unloaded the DW to find OH had put the dirty rice pan in from last night's tea STILL CONTAINING ABOUT 1/2 LB OF COOKED RICE!!!!! So here's the question - If I just happened to kill him with a blunt instrument would a jury of my peers convict me or let me off due to provocation.
You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.
Oi you lot - pleaseGIVE BLOOD
- you never know when you and yours might need it back! 67 pints so far.

Scuzz - a lot of batteries are guarenteed for life so I would take it back to where you got it from.
Lovely and sunny here in Essex, had an early night last night so have lots of energy today.
Packed lunches done, waiting for DD to finish her breakfast then will be cleaning the kitchen. DW unloaded & will be loading wm in a min. I also need to get sausages out of the freezer, sausage egg and chips tonight.
Today will be mainly paperwork and have a conference call at 10, will do some ironing though as cleared it yesterday so want to keep on top.
(((Hugs))) to anyone who needs one, especially Smokey.

Morning All
Scuzz - all batteries come with a guarantee, many 2 years, please check, or it could be your alternator not charging your battery, places who sell them can check if they have duff cells rather than just buying one without. If there is not duff cells then it probably isn't the battery.
Pennywatcher the DW is my OD's he said he wanted one (he always did the washing up) when I went back to work after DS (23 years ago) so I said fine, I will buy you one, but it is yours loading, unloading, etc. Now I don't load it right if I try to put anything in it  - fine by me (neither can DS btw). As for the WM well I started by putting loads into piles and then he or DS could load them when they were at home and I was at work, now both of them can do it from scratch. I found that if I showed DS how to do something DH would watch and learn at the same time;) . I am also banned from cleaning windows as I leave them streaky:D .
Chores for today, another load for the WM, one just out, may be an odd item to iron (was completely up to date). DH blitzed the conservatory yesterday and then we re-arranged the furniture so that looks good. Rest of house tidy apart from where I am sat which is wip. This is my domain and DH (tidy nut) not allowed in, but needs my attention tbh. May pop into town and have a quick trip into Boots, a look round the market and take some stuff to the charity shop. Hopefully will be back on Freecycle site so can get some stuff on there too. Dinner?? mmmm got some meat out of the freezer and into the chiller yesterday, just need to decide what to do, and need to put another loaf on, other than that not much to report.
(((((((hugs)))))))))) to anyone who'd need or like one - how you doing Pen-Pen?, special one for Smoky and the kids.
Nice to see you posting again JackieO - shame about yesterday.
Take care - DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Morning all and <<Hugs to Smokeybabe this morning>>
I hope she gets through the day o.k.
I emailed the Fort Amherst trustees to complain about yesterday, and also emailed trading standards at my local council as the 'Goods and Services', well the Sevices were to say the least sub-standard.Don't suppose it will make much difference but at least I got it of my chest.
The weather here is bright at the moment but very cold. I have a craft class this afternoon, so I hope to go to that.We are making chinese-style cards today so fingers crossed.
I'm suffering the most awful indigestion at the moment .My Doctor has given me some anti-biotics for an infection that I have in my chemo-line and although they are working everytime I take them I feel like I've swallowed a bowling ball.Very uncomfortable but I shall persevere.Only 35 more days of chemo to do then it's finished Roll on the end of April. Hope everyone has a good day today, being Tuesday it will seem like a short week.
I am going to have a good root around in the freezer this morning and see what I can find to save me going to the shops .I am sure I have some salmon in there I might have that with some creamed potatos for lunch. I have been trying to run down my freezer so I can defrost it .I am finding alsorts of things that I forgot I had bought. I feel a very OS week coming on .0
