Thanks Elantan - need to get home and look at my spreadsheet. Would like to pay it off a CC but we have also got loads of stuff to pay out in the next few months so may try and put it away for that use instead.Long haulers supporters DFW #109NR Loan #1 - £2951.18 Nov 08/0

After the bizarre refund from BG yesterday I have had a letter from them increasing our payments to £93 a month JUST for gas   Have rung them up to query this and the fact that we are leaving winter time (allegedly), have just been refunded for paying too much - but they are still sticking to it
Time to go and shop around I think.................Long haulers supporters DFW #109NR Loan #1 - £2951.18 Nov 08/0 -
Back again - just talking to myself really

Feeling quite proud, met up with some friends at lunch time with our little ones. They all had lunch and lots of drinks, I took advantage of the free drinks offered to the kids and just had a cup of tea - which my friend bought for me
I had eaten before so I knew I wouldn't be tempted to eat and saved myself some money.
Normally I have so little willpower that I just do what everyone else does and today I was good and said no :TLong haulers supporters DFW #109NR Loan #1 - £2951.18 Nov 08/0 -
Afternoon.. you are doing fab there!
Well done on resisting temptation at lunchtime.. where can I find some of that willpower?!! Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Thank you RS - am afraid I have limited amounts of it and that will probably be it for a week  I always start the week with such good intentions of not spending anything but things get in the way. Last week it went on food extras, this week it is being spent on stuff needed in the run up to the Marathon, next week is half term so goodness knows what that will bring

Looked at your sig and your DFD is so near, wish I was that close...................Long haulers supporters DFW #109NR Loan #1 - £2951.18 Nov 08/0 -

At least when you avoid temptation some/ most of the time, it means there is money for those other things that you need!
Not sure I'll make DFD of 2009, though it'd be nice as I turn 30 shortly after that! Think snowball says sometime in 2011 at current rate of paying
You got any particular plans for half term?Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Hi RS
No plans apart from to keep it cheap as possible. Was hoping weather would be on my side so we can do picnics etc but doesn't look promising so am hoping to rely on inviting DD's friends round and vice versa.
Am feeling guilty! Have two weddings to go to in April, one in a hotter climate, one here and I have nothing appropriate. Have just bought a gorgeous dress off ebay for £16 and feel guilty about it. I have been sensible and bought something I managed to dress up with accessories that I already have so no extra things needed.
Also have to buy the kids something to wear, watching an outfit for £2.99 at the moment for DS and DD is going to look for something next week on ebay. I have absolutely no intention of going into the shops to buy anything and I set my limit as £20 for me and £8 each for the kids.
Why do I feel guilty? I know in the past that I would have gone out and spent £50 on something for me and put it on the CC.
Have just updated my spending diary and have already gone over my limit  had to buy medicine, stuff needed for marathon, will just have to reign it in for the rest of the week. Added to that all I have left in my purse is £2.45 and that includes a £2 coin which i will HAVE to put in the £2 tin
Off for a glass of red me thinks..................Long haulers supporters DFW #109NR Loan #1 - £2951.18 Nov 08/0 -
Good morning, what are you up to today? I don't think you should feel guilty, that's a brilliantly small amount to spend on a wedding outfit!! Be proud that you haven't gone back to your old ways of sticking lots on the credit card

I'd never really thought about how much it would cost to do the marathon - realised about accommodation but the other things you mentioned on the running thread hadn't crossed my mind!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
:hello: no plans apart from to try and do some work, have so much to catch up on and am off for a few days next week with the kids as well.
thank you for making me feel slightly better re dress, have found an outfit for DS and just need some shoes which I have got my eye on. I really want to try and get it all of ebay to just stop myself spending more than necessary, particularly as they grow out of them so quick  Bid for something for DS last night but was really strict and kept to £8, went up to £11 and good little me just let it go :j
Jobs I must do today are:-
look for cheaper gas
find a BT card - can't decide whether to do 0% or LOB though - also going to add overdraft as that is fee free until May and don't want that notching upLong haulers supporters DFW #109NR Loan #1 - £2951.18 Nov 08/0 -
