Our 2 x big sheds are full to bursting...the loft is so full there are huge cracks around the edges of the ceiling upstairs...the Monster truck is a toolshed on wheels...the van is full of furniture that won't fit in the house...the boot of the car is full of tattooing gear
...AND THE HOUSE IS STILL A TIP WITH NOWHERE TO KEEP ANYTHING:eek:Laughing at my ancient signature...voodoobaby now 10 years old:eek:0 -
MY fruit bowl is a lovely long oval white china fish dish that my neighbour chucked out (in my direction LOL) and I soon realised that it was because it is IMPOSSIBLE to fit in any cupboard!!!! I managed to balance it on the shelf of my sideboard, and it tranformed itself into.... a fruit bowl. Currently does have fruit in it (some very squishy kiwis, a spotty mango, two tangerines, a couple of lemons, a lime, and a few pears) but usually there are a couple of paperclips, a pen or two and money off vouchers too!
Lovely thread....
My kitchen floor is disgraceful....one of the dogs wee'd on it today and I only realised how filthy it was when I cleaned it up. (But I only cleaned up the wee.....)
The sitting room floor needs hoovering so badly I had to put off my asthmatic friend from an unexpected stay-over visit tonight
The washing basket is virtually empty - apart from some hand washing. But it's only empty because I bit the bullet and threw away some of the stuff that had been mouldering in the bottom for months just last week.
My 16 year old son's room looks like a bomb site (with dust) my 18 year old daughter's looks like a jumble sale in a pig sty :rotfl: I observe and comment but no longer clean....
What is it they say? "A clean house is the sign of a wasted life"???
I have more important things to do - like go last minute shopping for a birthday present for Wednesday - when apparently I am also cooking a birthday dinner for my other daughter and her BF  Now WHERE DID the floor mop end up????0 -

The magic body suit was worse, and I mean this seriously - you need to be using a cathater to wear one of those things - or have a very good supply of tena pads.
So I am a sloth roaming around in very comfortable trackies from the second I get home from work. No I am not going to wash those dishes that are piled in the sink, clean the bathroom and polish the very dusty living room.
Maybe tomorrow.
I have had tears rolling down my face and i think i have woken the children with my howls of laughter! I can SOOOOOO relate to this!
THANK YOU

I've only read the first couple of posts but I've book marked it and will come and have a look at it to get me through the summer holidays. don't get me wrong - I love having my kids at home and getting to do things/see people we don't normally, it's just that nothing else seems to get done.weaving through the chaos...0 -
i have had 2 new kids beds in my front room for 3 weeks, and don't even want hubby to put them up coz it means clearing al the carp out of their room to get the old bed out and new ones in! sends shivers down mmy spine just thinking about what's growing under the bed or on top of the wardrobes!!
another box ruum junkie here! keep meaning to clear out the spare room - but would take about a week to and then actually use it as a bedroom for my daughter... but where would all the junk, i mean useful stuff, go????0 -
I havent anything to confess today. But I am tired .0

I need to do a few DIY jobs but I can't seem to adjust myself to the idea of doing them if the house is not clean and tidy to start with but it's hard enough doing that so the improvements just constantly slide down the list again.MFi3 member 105 - MFW date Oct 2023 - 12 years 9 months more0
