  • I have posted this before - I iron for births, marriages and deaths. Maybe for a special occasion, not if I can help it. Kids school shirts get hung on coat hanger when wet
and hung in airing cupboard... dry and crease free :) DD1 new school in Sept is pleated dreading it, maybe it's time she learned how to iron.

Same here - the laundry has most certainly backed up again - and as we speak, I'm the process of rewashing three loads that got left in a basket for 2 days :o

Everything else is under semi-control at the moment - although how long that will last for is anyone's guess, lol

I'm just starting to feel in control again. I work at school and having 4 children who need ferrying to various sporting events/clubs during the evening and weekends the school holidays are used as catch-up on the housework time. So 3 days into the holiday I've washed, line-dried, ironed, cleaned, mopped etc,etc still a load to do but the weather is ok here (dry but very windy) so the children are more than happy to play out. As soon as the holiday is over it will be back to full laundry baskets, and rooms badly in need of a clean!

Have to confess to a basket of laundry waiting to be done, a bagful I said I'd do for someone else who can't at the minute.........clutter still on the kitchen table, letters piling up on my desk...............OH still hasn't cleared out the clothes off the floor in the bedroom (his not mine !), plants still waiting to be potted up outside (cold wind put me off it today)............what else.........oh windows need cleaning, room off the kitchen still like a building site but builder due tomorrow (he said) so I'm hoping to see it look like a proper 'room' before long.....................what else..............oh nothing...........wearing me out trying to think....................lol

No ironing at least...........thats something I only do if its absolutely necessary

Mary - you just reminded me of the two trays of marigolds I have on the back step waiting to be planted - like you, the weather has thrown my plans out. I also have two shakers of wildflower seeds I picked up cheap in Woolies the other day that need sowing - at least I can just send the kids out with them, lol.
