have we suddenly all become domestic godesses? I felt the need to confess about the huggggge pile of laundry I have to get on with, only last weeks/months is still in baskets in the living room so I've nothing to put it in.

I must confess to owning 13 laundry baskets. Thought i'd be colour co-ordinated and buy one for each of us (family of 6) and place everyone's ironed laundry in their own baskets. I have baskets for dirty clothes, baskets that are filled - waiting to be hung out in the line, dirty laundry basket upstairs, dirty basket downstairs, and the rest were bought because I didn't have anywhere to put my laundry that was waiting to be ironed. I only know I have 13 because my dad made a point of going round the house counting them. :o

I use big trolley bags. Gradually from being the ironing that needs doing they have become my wardrobe - I have at least 5 on the floor in my bedroom :rotfl:

    LOL!

The hall is full of too many shoes, many of which I'm pretty sure don't belong to anyone who actually lives here! I haven't seen the banister for about 6 months, but I did find my missing coat lurking on there. There is a stray motorbike helmet on the bottom stair, mine but I haven't ridden a bike for about 20 years! The table briefly became visible the other day, only cos I removed the vase of dead carnations though. There are a pair of dd3's knickers on the corner step, and a stray sock, there is a wet towel on the radiator.

The kitchen has a full sink, not enough space to hide everything in the cupboards and 3 boxes for the one kitten that is in there! Not even going to describe any more of the kitchen for fear of making you all weep.

The sitting room is full of children playing board games, so there will be assorted pieces to tread on in bare feet when I come in from work in the morning. The window sill is full of pens, paper, a fruit bowl that I swear was full of fruit this morning, some empty photo frames and a jug, not that anyone outside can see the mess cos the windows are so grubby.

The dining room table is covered with painting stuff and a there is a large airer in there full of undies! The side table has a camping mallet and part of a tent on it. The wine rack is full - of table mats?!

Upstairs is just as bad! And we're only at the beginning of the hols, lol! The bit I love is that when people come to visit they always say how homely it feels, yet their homes are always, always, always neat and tidy, so just how does it feel homely to them!

My Magic Knickers are thrown on the dressing table in sheer horror at the circulation stopping way they roll down my spare tyre rather than sqeeze it in.

The magic body suit was worse, and I mean this seriously - you need to be using a cathater to wear one of those things - or have a very good supply of tena pads.

So I am a sloth roaming around in very comfortable trackies from the second I get home from work. No I am not going to wash those dishes that are piled in the sink, clean the bathroom and polish the very dusty living room.

    Maybe tomorrow.
Make £2 a day challenge - doing well so far.

I like this thread..... it's good to know I'm not alone.

The spiders are winning the Battle of the Cobwebs.

My computer desk resembles the corporation tip.

I haven't done last month's household filing yet (bills, etc).

There's dog hairs all over the living room carpet, from our little guest of the last 10 days and I can't be a*sed to hoover.

The [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] spare room is a ghastly glory hole, with stuff all over the floor, which is why I can't get to the files to put last month's filing away.

    My floordrobe is growing daily.

Tomorrow I have to get organised.......:rotfl:

I use my PDA to list my tasks and remind me what needs to be done - some reappear weekly and some have just sat there for ages. Lots I've just deleted and not actually even attempted to do the jobs :o

Yes, I have all the jobs listed in my PDA....... I just don't have the motivation or the energy to get off my bum and do them, that's the trouble.:o Increasing amounts of them are showing as "Overdue".

Everyone knows you feel like you've achieved something off the list if you just rewrite the list. Or maybe that's just me.

I have lived in my jammies for 2 days. .. hung washing out in them, sat on step in the sun in them, even pottered in the garden in them. :)
