or maybe as the deal is so good in the first place bristol street are buying huge amounts and distributing through every dealer at the same price.so leaving very little room for adding on £££'s of extras, mats, extra key fob, bluetooth stereo easily £300.
    ...work permit granted!

Yep, i like looking and trying to get a good deal. I am in no rush so there is no problem there!!!

I hope so too, my current car wont pass its next mot without repairs, and i dont want to use my savings on a repairs bill to get it through its next MOT! I would pay monthly than waste my time on a 10 year old car!

Mmmmmmm. Now who is talking porkies? I thought your ten year old car was in immaculate condition. I hope you have been upfront with your Dad on the work needed.

But i mean they may be a bit more leniant in throwing lets say... Bluetooth into the mix, or atleast 12 months road tax!

Seriously, at the risk of repeating myself for the 10th time, this deal is a ROCK BOTTOM deal... I would have snapped his hand off for the extra key (worth £20) and mats (worth £50)!!!

I may be wrong, but I very much doubt it... if you get free bluetooth or a 12 month tax upgrade for free then i'll eat my hat.

You think the manager is being arrogant / whatever, but at the end of the day, its his business and he is trying to make a success of it... he isn't going to give them away... at this price they will fly off the shelves quick enough...

Can't believe this thread is 6 pages long and we're back to square one.....

    BTW when you said

"it seems as though im not going to be able to get a decent loan, the 6.8% apr wouldnt apply to me with Barclaycard, as i havent got a credit score!"

Where have you got that info from or have you made it up?

lol yeh i know, im pushing my luck!!! I think i will probably go for it tomorrow, but im going to a different dealership to see what i can try for there then... no harm in shopping around! I will also phone Lookers and see what they have to offer... if anything different.

    Its actually 11 pages long!!!!

Oh and i phoned barclays up and spoke to someone, and she said that 6.8% is a base rate, and it can vary between 6.8% and 22%!!!! She said i would most definatly not get 6.8% as i havent got a credit score! She said if you apply and dont take it, you get a bad credit mark against you. Not worth the risk imo.

If the rate from Ford can vary or be turned down, you had better get the finance deal in place first before agreeing to buy. Our finance documentation and agreement was all done on the day of collection while our shiny new car was sat outside waiting. You wouldn't want to be in that position and then suddenly find you are at some terrribly high rate.
