Good luck on getting a positive call.

I suppose the Ford system is on go slow as it's Saturday and probably very busy. My agreement took two hours to complete and that was a mid-week deal.

I also think that the finance will be the ones to say yes or no, but if the dealer has been prepared to drop the price to cover the extra, for example, then although he doesn't have APR control he will have some degree of control over the monthly payment by reducing the car price that way. We are close to the end of the month, very close, and we don't know his target situation.

Well i got a phone call and 1hr half ago to say that there had been no problem in the finance side over fords end, and that it all seems ok, but they picked out some little niggly bit of infomation which was causing a problem in them processing it.

I have just got back from there, again! I had to take a Bank statement and Driving license, and i also took a p60. They photocopied them and faxed it to ford.

The salesman then spoke to Ford half hour later and they said they had recieved the faxes, they have looked over it and cant see any problem in the apr or anything like that. They just have to run them through the computer but they were really busy and it may take until tomorrow.

It all looks promising so far.

As targets are concerned, i managed to get a sneak peak of the manager office while i was there and on the big whiteboard it had:

    Target - 170
    Sold - 164
    Required - 6.

I take it thats how many car's they have sold this month, and the reuquired is how many they need to sell by Monday?

    Well... lol.

I went to bristol street kings norton again this morning. I was gonna go ahead with it!! But it turns out that the apr of 16.9% was wrong!!! They honoured it at 7.9% but had to tweak the figures to get that, and it turns out im getting it at 7.4%.

I went ahead, and have it in writing the percentage and monthly payments ( £215 ). They have thrown in a spare remote key and some mats, with £15 of fuel and a week free insurance.

All i am waiting on now if the finance to go through ok, he said he is going to phone me later or tomorrow morning to let me know as the Ford system was going exctremly slow.

You did well to get the fuel matt and the mats, the weeks free insurance is a standard offering on new cars there i think but still it means you have a week to shop around for a good deal..

Hope it works out for you..

I think it's looking good and well done you if it comes off.

With 6 to go and three days left, they can't go turning any trade down!

Indeed. I think the key is walk away if you dont feel comfortable. I just didnt feel comfortable and Bristol Street Shirley, and they were not professional at all.

I would recommend the Bristol Street Kings Norton as the staff are friendly and very professional.

I will let you all know if my finance went through ok, although the salesman and ford credit said there really should be no problem now as i found proof of where i work aswell with my p60.

Well i went to BSM this morning, and was told that a p60, bank statement and driving license wasnt good enough!! They wanted 3 previous bank statements!

I had to go back home, and find 3 previous statements so i could prove i have been living at my current address. The salesman faxed them over, and half hour later got a phone call from Ford Credit saying thats now fine, and now they want an employers reference tomorrow.

They say they will phone my employer tomorrow morning to get a reference... I dont understand, they already had last years p60!! I aint telling !!!!!!!!!

Anyway, its got to be cleared up tomorrow as i if it isnt, i cant register the car as the offer would of expired!

The salesman said its more or less sorted, and they just have to get proof that i do work at the company in which i say i do.
