  • Hi Matt, I am going through the same dilemma as you are.. I am becoming so impatient... I am selling a 18 month renault clio dynamique and sytner mini is offering £5k for it.. Joke!!! I will go and park it outside the renault dealership tomorrow!! Should be funny if I sell it!
  • I have a stunning black 18 month old renault clio dynamique only done 6600 miles on clock. I am struggling to sell it,... Tried auto trader and only got 1 call. I want a mini cooper so badly, its untrue!!! Sytner mini offered me £5k, I purchased it for £9k 13 months ago!! Renault have told me that its currently worth £6,700 but they are not currently buying used cars. I will go park it near the Renault dealership tomorrow with laminated for sale signs in the window. I am not willing to give my car to Sytner, but if it does not sell soon I dont know what todo?Any suggestions?

People spending 7k on a car prefer the added reassurance of a dealer

If they buy from you they have little come back if its a lemon

It will always be quite hard to buy a 1-2 year old car privately

Yeh i think you will have trouble getting someone privatly part with 6 or 7k cash.... but its worth a try!
  • I understand what you are saying but its under warranty until 09/09 and I am asking £6k for it. sorry I paid £9k 13 months ago.

Just keep it and get some use from it.;)

so its got a years warranty and no comeback if things go wrong

Id rather pay the extra grand, have the SOGA comeback not to mention all the other dealer benefits you can negotiate

I would categorically not pay a bit less for an 18 month old car privately
