Treat people how you would like to be treated yourself -thats my theory.
A good and honest point, again I would admire the integrity of your statement. That customer would have realised they were a bag missing and would have popped back to see if anyone handed it in. I used to work on customer service and 9 times out of 10 someone would hand in a found bag of shopping.
If it was a bag, I am sure that Lady Freda would had returned it, but the egg was too big for a bag. This world is very sad.0 -
Freddie, like many things my work provides me with things to use at home - diaries etc are included in this or should I only claim on my health insurance whilst at work? This is totally different (as there is no dishonest intent or underhand dealings) to your other half stealing other peoples shopping.0

I haven't been a member of these forums for very long however from what I have read I get the feeling the forums were set up to reflect the spirit and purpose of Martin Lewis's web site, i.e. to provide help, advise and support to people who needed it.
Freddie's posts on this thread seem to be the very opposite of this. He appears to have a selfish "me, me, me" attitude. As long as he benefits everyone else can go to hell.
Freddie, do you really think you were being clever posting your selfish actions on here. Why are you a member of this forum if not to gain advice and have the opportunity to help others. Did you help the "numpty" as you insultingly called the person who accidentaly left part of his/her shopping. I think not.
No doubt you'll respond with a smart assed reply to this in a feeble attemp to cover your shame.0 -

I did not post this to gain support or for people to condone the actions.
Ok, so the Best before date is 2 June 2008 and this thread would probably be long lost by then, if the rightfull owner of the Chocolate would tell me in a personal message what it is they were foolish enough to leave behind, when they did this and where, I will gladly give them their goods back!
If not, then I feel Lady Freda is going to enjoy them!0 -

Lady Freda did not go with any intention needing an Easter Egg at all, but when an opportunity arose ...
So she is just an opportunist thief then? Doesn't make it any better.0 -
This is some cracking stuff. No doubt the usual do-gooders banging on about "stealing" and "child snatching" are also the same that would willingly do exactly the same to a business (ie recouping bank charges, not owning up to being given too much change).
Methinks a few people need to egg-cept that Fred has done what he has done and get over it.
Stop getting so over egg-cited!One thing I'd really hate....is to have a nail banged through the back of my neck.0 -
Whoosh...
Here's little ole me thinking why is easter over then got drawn into this lot...
Well fellow MSE's here is my way of knowing what has happened to my Mum & Dad... Dad 72 left his wallet and cheap mobile, (does'nt even know how to text:rolleyes: ) on the shelf in diy in tesco,,, less than 3 seconds later i ran to CS and asked if it had been handed in ..It had
Mum also a just pensioner left her bag on the hang your bag part of the trolley Widnes store... when she went back ...gone.. called me in tears:o .. told her to go to CS... guess what handed in...
I was in Tesco garage and looked down putting petrol in ..£5.00 on floor. I handed it in as prev op stated with name and address it was not claimed and Cs called me to collect after 30 days as no-one had been to reclaim:beer:
Walking around town Found another £5.00 on floor picked it up and kept it...
This is my view on the disscussion that has evolved.0 -
Mrs Advent once found a bag in a train station.
It contained £300 cash and someones holiday tickets. So obviously someone was going to have a ruined holiday if Mrs A was not so honest.
She handed it in and left her name, address and telephone number.
She called the train station the next day and was told someone returned for it a few hours later.
She did not even get a quick phone call from the person thanking her.
So much for being honest.0 -
