I'm SO chuffed with this! Thanks OP :)

Got my parcel today with 2 1-5 Lucky Dips and they are excellent. Only one paperback per bundle, no colouring books and very good titles (2x Kipper books, 2x Beatrix Potter, 2x Tweenies, several lift-the-flaps and colour/shape books). Also a couple of soft baby books.

Just a word of warning though, it does seem a slightly 'babyish' bundle, i.e. don't think would be great for 4-5 year-olds. My little one is 2 so this is just perfect for him.

Oh yes, and also, there was a book missing and a couple of damaged ones, so I phoned them and they are sending me a whole new lot of 10 for free! EXCELLENT customer service; will definitely order from them again.

I ordered 2 x under 5s, first bag was great, very impressed, 2nd bag was a bit dodgy, 1 sticker book, 1 cheapo wipe off book, 1 x 2005 tweenies annual (no good when the 2006 are already out!) Phoned them and they were ok, they certainly weren't going to send a new set out, they finally agreed to sending one free book so it's better than nothing!

I was really pleased with my under 5 and 5-9 bundle, will make excellent christmas stocking fillers, and daughter no 1 too young to realise what year it is so I don't mind it being a 2005 tweenies annual!

  • 2 packs of 1-5 - 6 doubles and they "can't do anything about it" - apparently they are warning phone orders there may be doubles, but I see no such warning on the www???

On the other hand, the books are pretty good!
  • I've just received two packs for ages 1-5 and although most items were duplicated, they are so good I was very happy to have two! They included six wonderful interactive books (two where you pulled a string and music box played for several minutes; two lift the flap; and two where you pressed buttons to make the animals 'talk'). The rest were classic Kipper, Beatrix Potter and similar. Fantastic value.
  • http://www.redhouse.co.uk (same company as bookpeople?) also have some good offers on, including Horrible Science - 10 Books for £9.99, Felicity Wishes Fiction - 8 Books for £8.99 and a bookends section for cheapies.

Thanks to Aril for finding this:

  • ive just got my 2 sets of lucky dip books - the bags were exactly the same - bah - apparently they pick them off pallets and if they use the same pallet it will be the same books - cant be too hard to get two bags off two different pallets to make sure can it?

ive phoned to complain and am having to return the second bag and get a replacement bag sent - hope this is slightly different set of books or i will be mad
