Re selling the surplus on Amazon/Ebay: I know someone with a book shop who resells these books at a profit BUT he has to be careful that they are originals. Some are special reprints with the "thebookpeople" logo on them.
Similary I have a BBC special free offer set of books clearly printed "not for
resale" and I don't know the legal position or the emotional response when your customer gets their "new" book.

I got mine a while back, but have to say that I am over the moon with what we have.
I got a 1-5yr old (I do have a near 2 yr old and near 5yr old, so this works really well for both). It included 2 sticker book things which my near 5yr old loves, and a good combo of books for both ages, including a soft book, oh and Cat in the Hat, comes back (we have the 1st one, which they love).
If you are looking for one child in this catergory that is 5 or 6, then i would think about getting the next age range for max results.

I also got a 10yr old selection, for my near 10yr old, and the books , although a couple look a bit girly, I think are great. There was a limerick book and funny poems, which he's into.

I really am pleased with this.

I have used this company for ages now and have always found them really helpful. I ordered a baby record book and when it came it had one of the ties missing, so I phoned and they sent another one out, this one had the other tie missing!, phoned them again and said I could make one good book out of the 2 but would rather not lol, and they sent another which was fine. I was told to let my daughter have the other 2 for doodling etc. Just ordered one of the lucky dips, and one of the books had a slight tear on the cover, phoned and I received a brilliant book to replace it the next day, again told to dispose of the torn back as I wanted, hence daughter and son now have one! (son is 8months so needless to say he has the torn copy!!).

I got my order today, a few good books I will keep, but some dud ones, that will go straight on ebay, eg Cilla Black What's It All About.

I e-mailed them last week to complain about the number of colouring books in my selection, and received this back...

So not everyone seems to be getting replacements, and am not sure if the return postage is free or not. If not, its probably not worth returning them - just thought I would warn people just in case

What a great offer, thank you so much! I've got loads of kiddies' birthdays coming up in the next couple of months, so ordered 2 kids' lucky dips for £10. Am very chuffed :j

PS. There's a free delivery code on the Vouchers board which just worked on my £10 spend!

Just had my free set of replacement books sent. Bit strange how they are not treating everyone the same here. Very happy once again with my 0-5 selection !! I'm sure my little boy will be delighted when he's born !!
