  • Metamorphosis & other stories (Franz Kafka) ... one for the charity shop!

oooo no read it - read it years ago for degree course - but very good (if a little hard going!)...honest!!!
  • I had to read the metamorphosis one for A level drama. We had to act it out toooooooo. I'm sure that someone will love to find it in the charit shop. Next to my one.

This is an excellent find, so thank you very much for sharing it with us! Like you say Xmas pressies it will be used for, plus my kids have b'days in Nov, Dec and Jan. I could spread them out, as well as the cost.

I'm also pleased that they take electron, as it saves using the mastercard and forgetting that I did and never paying to cover that cost. That way it is done and dusted!

After receiving the wrong aged lucky dip bags, today I received 2 correct Lucky dips for age 1-5...both contain 3 colouring/sticker "books". Bit disappointed, would have thought more actual story/reading books.

hi fluffy, see my above post, same happened to me, i complained via email they called me saying, although the sticker books were a part of the deal we should not have recieved 4 of them in one dip and are sending out 4 new books and i get to keep the sticker ones, i said that on the advert they did not state clouoring and sticker books were part of the lucky dip, anyway they came up trumps so ordered some more :D good luck

I ordered a 6-10 lucky dip and, unfortuately for my 5 yr old, they all seem to be for 10yr olds :( All very involved/serious stories apart from Donkey Disaster which just looks rubbish lol

And all of them are already on ebay and not selling and all of them are on amazon for less than £1

edit : i emailed my dissatisfaction to thebookpeople immediately after posting this - i just received a phone call saying they would send me another 5 random books for free and that they didn't want any of the others back and could i possibly donate some of the disliked books to charity :)

I ordered two 2-5 age group. (20 books)

6 out of 10 of them are duplicates! :(

I only received 4 colouring books (2 per 10) so that is not too bad.

I thought that might happen so I emailed them before I ordered and they told me that I would probably have duplicates. Give them a call they may exchange them for you, they seemed quite friendly to me.

6 out of 10 sems a bit much. I rang and asked them about suitability etc, and also duplications. Her exact words were "When they're packing them for you, they'll see you're getting 2 lots and use their common sense"

So I would really hope in 2 lots not to have more than 2 or 3 duplicates at most.

    I ordered a 6-9 and a 10+. Can't wait to see what I get!
  • VERY pleased with my purchases. (2 x Lucky Dips for 0-5)
OK - so I got 7 duplicates but I didn't mind as my sister can have them for her baby. Considering I saved around £70, it didn't bother me......

I sent them an email sying I wanted to order some more but if possible have less duplicates, and they called me back earlier today and said they would send me a free pack of 10 books !!!

    Can't complain!!
