Hi all !
Well winter's back (did it ever go away ?) and the forecast for the weekend's not good. Glad we went away last weekend........it was cold, but not this cold !
Had every intention of donning my painting hat and doing some 'shabby chic' on an old cupboard but then remembered a retro sweet box I wanted to do for ex foster lad and at the moment I'm struggling to get the sticky stuff off the plastic box. Huge label on the box with the price on.........peeled it off and it left the backing behing - plus gummy stuff !!
Maybe by tea time I'll have started painting..................lol
Depends on how OH gets on..............he's gone off to woolworths to get a new dvd player so he can watch his new dvd.............another machine around the tele..........yet more wires..............
Still, if it'll keep him happy -once he's gone through the muttering and swearing when he installs it all..........................lol
Have a good day, stay warm and hugs (((((((((((((:o ))))))))))) to all those who need themMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

I'm going to have lunch in a mo and then I've got some washing to do this afternoon
see you later
((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))) to all

Just got back from a quick trip to the local market and Wilkinsons for envelopes for OH , he is secretary of the bowls club as well as President....not an ideal situation but no one came forward to take on the Secretarial work, I have told him he has to give it up at the end of this season, he has been doing it for 3 years now, time for someone else to have a go.....
Its cold this morning, we walked back from the shopping centre.......just about to do bacon sarnies for lunch. Mince and dough balls for supper, will do some fruit in jelly for afters...OH has his with ice cream, I just have the jelly.
Mr T's was manic this morning........no trolleys.......and people shopping as if there was no tomorrow, why........its only Sunday the shops arre closed most open for 6 hours on Monday.
We were going to have a day out tomorrow but having seen the weather forecast changed our minds, think we will stay in and eat the Easter egg one of the residents sent up for us yesterday......it had two mars bars and an egg in a box, we cut the mars bar in two and had half each, will have the other one tonight......then I'll crack the egg................
Crazychic: I have sent you a PM about the bag...............
We have just had our CT bill, we have to pay them 48p to clear the last years bill and this years is £53 a month, but of course at the end pril I have to send in both our increases from the civil service pension, so it will go up again possibly to £56 a month but thats £10 less than we were paying after they made such a muck up of last years bill. Watch this space......................
Off to do the lunch..................sorry about the date, please could someone lovely like pink change it for me.........Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Hi every one ...just sat down for the first time today ! Ds1 broke up from school yesterday so has been trying to help me with my baking...well actually he was trying to eat everything in sight lol!:D Have had a very productive morning baking buns, hobnobs and cookies and am just waiting for the bread to finish...I think that will do for today!
Have to sit down this afternoon and fill in 5 forms for us all as we are in the process of changing doctors. When we moved we couldnt get into the practise we wanted and now 2 years later they are accepting new patients .Dh called in yesterday and registered our names...came back with the forms and also 5 sample bottles:o !! My ds2(7) asked why they needed wee examples lol :rotfl: :rotfl: and how is he supposed to do it in that little bottle .....:rotfl: well we dont have to provide them for a month when we will arrive on mass for our family check up so I will worry about that then;) . Must go now as ds 1 requires more food.
Hope you all have a good day and hugs to all that need them xxJAN GC- £155.77 out of £200

Happy birthday Essex Girl!! :bdaycake: Hugs for penny-pincher, sorry your feeling rough
hope your okay littlemisskitkat
I finally got round to checking through the box of parts the garage sent me, most of them are right but they've sent a speedometer rather than a tachyometer like I asked for. Phoned and I have to send it back. Tachyometer is £84  (more than double the cost of the speedo). Bit of a pain because I wanted to do the repairs this weekend. Will have to wait until next week now. I'm certainly not feeling the Zen when presented with that sort of bill for motorcycle maintanance...
I've done so little today I'm thinking about just going home for the afternoon.:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -
Hello everyone.
Today is my last day at home before I go in to work tomorrow for a whole day (been off sick for a fortnight and we don't get Good Friday - although I have been working from home to get my magazine to the printer). Then I'm off on holiday on Saturday, so today I have to do all the washing, ironing, Hoovering, tidying, shopping, etc, that goes with going on a holiday. Also getting hair cut and coloured later this afternoon.
Still toying with baking some cakes to take with me. And keeping fingers crossed that the forecast snow waits until I get there.
Hope everyone is ok. I'm assuming we've all assumed that this is the 20 March and not 29 March just yet (although I did think I must have missed a week when I saw it).

Hello all of you. massive (((hugs))) to all those with misbehaving ears and legs, bugs, colds and so on.
Happy Birthday ESSEX-GIRL! Have a great day. I intend to laze around this afternoon and it's not even my birthday!
CRAZYCHIK - I hope you don't have too bad a day at work.
I've cleaned the house right through - not perfectly but good enough for the weekend! It all looks good on the surace - I just couldn't be bothered to go mad! I've done the banking, popped into the charity shop and found a brilliant brand-new pair of jeans that fit perfectly and two books, one about Stonehenge and the other about how to identify teddy bears
- it intrigued me!
I'm freezing cold now so I've just put the heating on and will finish off a knitted present for someone this afternoon, hopefully, if I don't doze off, and then start my square. I wonder how BENTHOSBOY is getting on with his knitting?!
Anyway, I've just looked at the clock - no wonder I'm starving!
See you all later.KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

I wonder how BENTHOSBOY is getting on with his knitting?!
He isn't

What with one thing and another, I forgot to buy some pointy things yesterday. I'm not sure if it's safe for me to knit at the moment though. Since SWMNBM pulled the plug on me (isn't that a great phrase?
) I've been "sleeping" on the setee so I haven't had a proper night's sleep in well over a month. It's obviously catching up with me as just after I finished moving storage c******s onto pitches this morning, I fell asleep in the tractor  Tonight I intend to take the motorhome into the quietest corner of the park, the part that's closed and adjoins the forest, and try for some serious sleep.
Anyone know where I can guy some rubber knitting needles :rotfl:
