Oops, sorry, I was so busy working out Benthosboy's acronyms that I didn't even say hello :o

    ((((smokybabe))))

Hope you're feeling better soon, PP and hilstep and anybody I have forgotten, and that you and the bump are OK after the accident lilmisskitkat ((hugs))

    Essex-girl - Happy Birthday :bdaycake:

Well I've not done so badly today... been to the gym at lunchtime, what with the holiday weekend coming up it was very quiet and there were only 4 of us in the Aqua Aerobics class. The instructor who does Wed and Thur lunchtimes is a real tonic - a very perky gay guy who never stops smiling or jumping around :D Whatever it is that he's on, I want some :D

Had to go gently on the exercises because my neck is playing up again. It's always the same muscle which "goes", and I blame it on the weight of the bag I carried for my paper round when I was in my teens. It hasn't frozen up completely, and isn't TOO painful, but it is s0d's law that it would do it today - I promised myself last time it happened that I would see an osteopath next time, but I don't see myself getting an appointment over a four-day weekend, and I'm 95% certain that by the time they're back at work it'll be fine  I work just round the corner from the British School of Osteopathy where you don't need a referral and treatment only costs about half the going rate ;)

I could do with an early night, but have church choir practice at 6:45 and Mass at 8:00 - that'll finish soon after 9:00, but most years the choir ends up going to the local Wetherspoons for a curry afterwards. The Maundy Thursday Mass is usually my favourite service of the year, but unfortunately we don't have a full choir (no tenors available!) so can't sing our organist's fantastic arrangement of Psalm 22 which we normally do :( I look forward to it all year, too :( It will still be a lovely service, though.

Anyway I must be off and get on with some work

    Rzl xx

Essex girl Happy Birthday. Have a good one.
Martyn hope you manage to get a decent sleep tonight. I would be a zombie if I had slept as badly as you have recently.

DS and DD are now on holiday for 4 days. How long did it take them to start an argument? Well, we weren't even home before the first one broke out.  Think I'm actually quite glad that they are with XDH if this is going to be their attitude for the w/e. (I will miss them really but they know which buttons to press)

My wm is making some funny noises. I really hope it isn't going to break down. My boiler isn't working 100% at the moment but I can't get a gas engineer on the phone. Tried 2 or 3 without any luck. So I really don't need the WM breaking down too.

Right, off to give DD a talking to as she is refusing to dry the mountain of dishes that DS has just washed. Ahhhh, the joys of motherhood.

well back from nurse and wish i hadnt gone! she looked in my ears and said i had loads of wax in both ears, here was me thinking it was maybe the cold or water in my ear, never had a prob before?

anyway one ear is cleared, so she said but i cant hear a difference, as for the other ear it just wouldnt budge, knew that was the worst ear as keep hearing gurgling sounds from that ear, so now about 4 attempts by said nurse to clear it is now made my hearing worse, and am feeling really dizzy, had to lie down it was that bad.

so got to go back next week and try again, have to use oil in my ears:rolleyes:

sorry if all that grossed u out:p i dont care:rotfl:

martyn - i aint even going to attempt what all that means:D hope your doing fine today;)

Oh Kyle - I hope the oil works. Did you ask the nurse about AUSSIE's lethal-sounding 'cure'? If you are still feeling dizzy tomorrow, I would go back to the surgery.

I've just added to a post to the 'squares' thread because I have just heard from OECS - a group who sew up squares that people have donated. They have sent me a welcome email. I have put a link to the site on the thread if anyone wants to have a look.

    Hi!

A big hug Smokybabe and still praying for you and your family.

    Happy Birthday Essex Girl!

Joannasmum Which Indian Restaurant are you going to? Hope you have a nice meal!

Yesterday we had a lovely new carpet fitted in DD1's bedroom and she's got a couple of new pieces of furniture and a lot less junk in it. She's so pleased with it and has already started spending lots of time up there. I've told her she can't have a tv up there or we'll never see her. :rotfl:
The house is back to normal and last night I gave everywhere a good dust and hoover. Next week we're going to start painting the front room.

I've ordered a new electrolux vacuum cleaner from Amazon as my old one is falling apart and has started marking the wooden floor. It had great reviews and was a good price so I'll look forward to playing with it when it arrives.;)

I'm still waiting for someone to repair my washing machine which has been broken since Saturday. The repairman came on Tuesday but didn't have the right part so he's coming back tomorrow (hopefully). This wm has been jinxed from the start and I think we're going to replace it soon. Any recommendations? I've had 2 Zanussis and I'm not sure if I should get another one or change to a different make??? My mum reckons that Hotpoint is one of the best makes but everyone seems to have a different opinion.

DD2 had her last intensive swimming lesson this morning and the girls are now upstairs playing with a friend. The weather here is wet, cold and windy and it's nice to be cosy inside. I'm going to make spag bol for tea and I fancy making some cakes or biscuits too, just need to have a look in my bulging recipe file for inspiration. :D
Tomorrow we're going to a church in the morning and then I have to wait in for the wm repairman.

    Have a good day!

    Afternoon all

    It is freezing here.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY ESSEX GIRL.

    Welcome new posters.

Not a lot to report, had a lovely lunch. We are only off until Tuesday but I have to work Saturday and Sunday.

Have eaten far too much chocolate since DS got home. Study guide all finished, will start my literature search tomorrow.

Off to make a nice cup of tea. Hope those who feel rough or have had a c**p day feel better soon (I have read the thread, just feel a bit shot-away).

    Have a good evening all

    Good afternoon all

Back from work & school run, got the heating on as Im cold.
Creamy chicken (mushroom soup by campbells) & pasta for dinner.
kyle hope your ears improve, olive oil is good, and if the dizzyness does continue, like moiliere said, go back to the dr's.
Happy Birthday to essex girl have a lovely day!!!
csarina, will read PM later, thank you

work was ok, stand-in manager pulled me to one side and asked if she'd done owt wrong, I said I could have said the same! In the end we took it outside as it started to turn into a slanging match! It turns out there was a lot of tickle tackling going on in my absence, Ive suppose to have said this and done that etc, general !!!!!! stirring and putting the blame on me. What utter nonsence. And I told her that - no! infact I shouted at her! I was furious. This afternoon break I took her outside again. Said I wasnt happy, being talked about nor having the chance to defend myself, I did not say those things I was accused off saying, and Im not taking full responsibility of the atmosphere this week. I spoke in general & wasn't acknowledged, nor was I included in the general chit-chat either. Its all petty, and I hate that! Still got as long way before I speak properly to them all. And especially who I thought was a friend - isn't!

So thats me - rant over
    Thanks for listening
    Love Emma xxx

Bargain Rzl, enjoy your service tonight. It sounds the complete opposite of the one I'll be attending which is just the last supper. The tables are arranged in a cross up the aisle and across the front of the Church. The Church will be lit only by candles. We will sing a hymn, have some prayers and then take communion all together. The readings will be read, working up the table, and each reader will extinguish their candle. After the last candle has been extinguished we are in almost total darkness, before we quietly leave. It's a very emotional service, but one I love:D Easter is my very favourite time in the Church calendar.

You have done much better than me deciphering Benthosboy's acronyms, but I did get the first one:rotfl:

Busygirl, I had 2 Zannusi WMs, got rather peed off with their customer service when it needed repair after repair (each not even lasting until the next wash!!!!). Anyway I bought an AEG and I will never buy a different brand again:D I've had it for 5 years and well I won't tempt providence but I think you'll guess what I'm saying:rotfl:
