Hi Wildt - Ellen said yesterday that the next available training course was in August. You'll be on that one - just you wait and see
Like you said, it was a good interview and you answered all the questions well.
Marymumof1 - there is a problem with the tech assessment tests that they are working on. There is a workaround on the other Teletech thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=536017&page=144
I was asked about my sales experience, why I wanted to work from home, did I have a quiet room to work from, was I available from 4.30 - 11pm Monday to Friday and 8.30 - 6pm Saturday and Sunday as the shifts fall between those times. I had to describe a time when I had changed someones opinion and a time when I had embraced sudden change and how I coped. Also, what I liked about working in sales etc.
I also was asked what bank holidays I would work, if I had any holidays or commitments in the next 3 months and I think that was about it.
I think different recruiters ask different questions. I know Wildt had a different recruiter to me so she may be able to say what hers was like.
Good luck with your application.0 -
Thanks Daffodil1965,
Much apprieciated. Did u apply for the Sales Inbound Representative or the Customer Service Representative? I applied for the CSR position, have u started working yet? If so, do u enjoy ur shift times? Sorry for all the questions, its just that i have a daughter and need to change her bed routine. Thank you again. xx0 -
had an email asking if i had received my paperwork and my basic disclosure Scotland and what date will it be completed
this has concerned me as
my contract/paperwork was sent on tuesday 17th june and the scotland disclosure was sent on friday 20th june
if this has been lost, this will not only be a problem for me and this job, but there is enough info in my hirepack for someone to do some naughty things
copy of my passport, bank details, name and address, national insurance number, a bill with name and address etc
You will probably find that your paperwork has reached Belfast ok and they have just not let America know yet - that is what happened on my course- we were asked when we were sending it in etc and it had already been done. You could phone Belfast and ask them if they received your paperwork and if they could let the recruiters in America know. I am sorry but I can't remember the name of the guy in Belfast that I dealt with - but it maybe on your copy of your welcome pack.
Reference your Scottish Disclosure - if you have your barcode - the recruiters will accept that until they receive your CRB information.Auddel0 -
Hi Marymumof1,
I applied for the inbound sales role (Daffodil did the same I think) but I don't imagine the interview questions are much different for the CSR role. Basically I was asked the same questions as Daffodil - why I wanted to work from home, about my previous jobs, whether I could work the required hours, an example of when I have changed someones opinion of something, what my biggest achievement has been, an example of a time I have made a mistake at work.
There aren't any particularly tricky questions, you will do just fine. The lady who interviewed me (Amy) was lovely and that really helps you to relax. Don't worry too much about it xx
PS Daffodil..August not too far away so hopefully I will get on that training course0 -
I'm on the August course unless there is a last minute drop out for the July one. There is no space for me
But I need to do the CRB check next week and get that to them so that I am ready to go at short notice if there is a drop out.
Wildt - have you heard anything yet? I don't know the dates for August - Ellen said they will be releasing that information in the next week or so.0 -
Hi Wildt,
Thanks for letting me know, much apprieciated. Yeah i heard u got to do a CRB gosh that is long. I havent done any interview procedures for the past 3 years because of looking after my daughter now im ready to earn some cash at home. Feel abit nervous, i heard that 2/07/08 is the next training day.
Good luck with the CRB and let me know how it goes for ya.

If you have lived in your present address for more than 1 year- you can apply for the CRB online and pay your £20 fee. I applied on a Thursday night and got my CRB statement on the Tuesday morning, it is quicker than having to do it by post. You will also be reimbursed the £20 in your first wage.
Getting the solicitor to verify your identity should cost between £5 and £20 - anymore than that - then shop around- You don't however get this fee reimbursed.Auddel0
