did anyone else have thier 2nd day of training lastnight?

    what did you think?

personally i thought it was more enjoyable once we got passed the problems connecting etc

but i did find i fell a little behind on my notes when we were discussing IMPACT!

some of us were put on the spot and without the notes it was very tough, so i really need to get a bit better at preparing notes etc

if anyone has been in this situation before me, i.e done or are doing thier training and wish to share any notes with me to help me be prepared i would appreciate a PM

    thanks

    p.s see you all tonight

Just had a call off Amy and I will be on the training course for inbound sales in August so it looks like there are positions available. Don't know what that email was about saying I would have to apply for the technical position instead.

Oh well..looking forward to it. Apparantly the dates haven't been confirmed yet but should be sorted out around 21st July?
  • Has my interview today before the assesments :\ now i'm doing the router test and trying to set everything up but i really didn't do well in the interview :( I thought i would be less nervous on the phone but it was worse than a face to face interview lol

  • Well done Wildt. I said to have faith xx

I'm getting VERY concerned now. I've been trying to contact Ellen for over a week. I have my Basic Disclosure here and don't know what to do with it. I have not had any response to any emails and livechat can't help. I've emailed the HBO email address and they just said they would remind her, but still nothing. I was supposed to have recieved a disk and some paperwork but haven't. It all seems to be a bit of a mess.
  • I've had an email from Ellen today offering me training starting 4th August. She's been on holiday, hence why I couldn't contact her!

I also got an email Daffodil..:D Have you done the telephone conference thing yet?
  • No, it's tomorrow at 4.30. Are you on it or have you done yours? Do you start 4th August too?

is the job still worthwhile with the electrical costs. It takes 1 unit per one and half hours on the computer and with prices rising you have to check its all worthwhile.

from what your saying, your telling me your PC draws 750W?
very unlikely that to be honest

An Average Desktop PC will draw no more than say 300W
In work-booth, its a very low intensive application and your
GFX card will hardly even warm-up

And a 19" LCD monitor uses about 50W max

So lets base this on a agent who works 25hrs a
week 52 weeks of the year

    350 watts * (1,300 hours per year worked) / 1000 = 455 kilowatt-hours

Lets use Scottish powers on-line tariff for example at the moment
    its 13.69p per KWh

    455 kilowatt-hours * 13.69p / 100 = £62.29 a year

income from job is £7800 (gross) per year
    £7800 - £62.29 = £7737.71p (gross) income after electricity costs

So yes its still worth it
You could even cut that £62.29 by more than half
by using a laptop but I wont bore you with more maths
