Hayley - well done on your achievements so far and keep up the good work but get those sandwiches made
Re your SOA - can I be nosy and ask why you have got life insurance?
Sparkly0 -
I have looked and looked but i cannot find any suitable Saturday jobs, which is a bit of a bummer as the extra money would've been handy.
I have now been thinking and I might start dog walking, it would be especially nice with summer approaching. Does anybody on here also dog walk? I am a great lover of animals and it would be so nice to take on an extra job i actually enjoy. Can anybody point in the right direction for insurance i will need? I'm also going to print out lots of leaflets (DFW stylee and do them myself on the compute) and post them around my area. If anybody has any helpful tips it would be much appreciated.
Does anybody know if i will have to start up my own business to dog walk and then let the tax man know?0 -

Sorry Sparkly, i missed your question.
To be honest i don't know why i have got it, I have no children yet, and have no mortgage. I keep meaning to cancel it, but unsure if i am able too. I will have a look at my policy and see what it says. Thank you for reminding me about it0 -
I'd definitely get it cancelled, even if it's just for the time being until you've cleared your debts.0

I agree with Babes - there is no real reason to carry this cost

Hi Hayley,
Newbie here.
Well done on all the payments.
My last loan payment is 28th October but aiming to have paid it off at least 1 month early so in same boat as youNow a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
Thank you babes and sparkly, I am now going to cancel my life assurance. That will save me £5 a month.
Thank you moneymabel - I will def be looking at your thread and joining, I'm hoping with all the extra work I have been doing I will be debt free by September.
Lysasparkles- if you manage to find out any information about the doggy insurance i would love to hear, I've done a few quotes but not heard back from anybody yet.
Lilmissmup, at the moment i'm trying really hard to be debt free by August, but its looking more likely to be September/October unfortunately.
Today i have been to Sainsburys and spent £6 on bits for my lunch for the week. Really happy i made the effort to buy the bits for my lunch, this way i will HAVE to take my own lunch into work, instead of spending £4+ on lunch per day. I also pre-ordered a dvd earlier, PS, I love you. It will cost me £11.99 but I get the book with it for free, so i will sell that and hopefully make at least £3 back.0
