Thanks Dinx, I may have a look on freecycle now. I'm happy with any bike, well I'd love a pink bike, but i must learn to become less fussy, or i'll never be debt free0

xXx
Hi Carrie
I have been so good lately, today however i nearly booked a holiday to America for my boyfriend and i. My best mate lives in New York (lucky moo) and i get to go over all the time and only have to pay for the flights, unfortunately flights at the moment are not so cheap, especially as my boyfriend only likes flying Virgin to the states. I might tonight do a bit of research on the best prices and then convince my OH to go on a different airline, if not he can pay the extra for me to fly virgin :rotfl:, i do like virgin though!!!!
I get what you mean with everything costing money, you can't do anything these days without having to spend money, it truly sucks! Hopefully if i can get myself a bike on the cheap we can go riding together, that way can get fit and spend some quality time together too. I used to love bike riding as a kid - those days are long gone
I'm now off to check on your diary:D

Naughty Hayley, the weather was soo good today I went out for a glass of wine (or two) after work - thats £15 gone! I really must resist temptation, especially with summer coming up, i love a glass of vino in the beer gardens!!
This month is going so quickly, not that I'm complaining, i get paid in five days :j, then I can work out how much i can chuck at my debts this month. I really proud of the amount i've paid off in April, hoping to get it down to 3K by the end of May, then I will be on track to be debt free by August time :T
I was going to buy a new book today from Waterstones, then i resisted and decided to look on Amazon, I can buy the book 2nd hand from Amazon market for £2.85 incl postage, in the shops it was £7.99, normally i wouldn't of thought twice about not buying it and looking elsewhere. I'm lovin' working towards being debt free, soo much fun!
Unfortunately due to the weather being awful at the weekend i didn't get to do my carboot, but with the weather looking promising i may do it in the next few weeks.
At the moment I am job hunting, I get made redundant in October, and to be honest I'm not sure if i want to wait, especially when I'm not happy with the job and the lousy pay.0 -
I have just checked my Littlewoods account and because i have been making large payments recently my cashback has added up very quickly, i have £69 in cashback on my account - yay!! I might keep that in my account and try and get £50 more this month, that will be enough to buy some new trainers i want for free!!!
I would normally use the cashback to pay off some of the debt or take the money by means of cheque, that was until i noticed they take a percentage away when your not using it to buy goods from the catalogue.0 -
Just when i think I'm bring really good and cutting down my spending I go book my hair appointment for next week which is going to cost me £100. I'm really hating my hair at the moment and not being able to do anything with it is upsetting me, so I have decided to budget £100 of this months wages to get it done. I really should shop around and maybe try colleges, but I'm such a fussy moo and only want the best so I will just be worried the the whole time my highlights will come out purple instead of blonde.
I did however register at the library today, no more paying out £6.99 per book. The library has come along way since i last went to one, you can actually renew your books online, that will save me lots as will stop me getting fines for returning my books late.
I get paid tomorrow (woohoo) and I have worked out my debt will be below £3.5K once i have made Aprils payments! I'm definitely on track to get below 3K by the end of May.0 -
Unfortunately i didn't get paid today, my work are useless at paying people when they are meant to. They have changed it to the last day of the month now instead of the last Friday of the month, arrgghh!!!
This weekend is going to be a cheap weekend for me now. I was meant to be going shopping with my best mate tomorrow, unsure if i should go now. Tomorrow eve my boyfriend is going to take me out for dinner.
I got out my first book from the library today, they have so many books to choose from, I'm lovin' reading for free!!!
I'm just working out my finances for May now, working out how much is going on debts this month and how much i have for myself. So many bits i need like new clothes, new bedding, new shoes, the list is endless. I hate being poor!!!0 -
I wanted to try and have a lie in today, but the sun was shining outside so got up and walked my doggy at 7am this morning.
I have just checked my bank like i do most mornings and my wages have gone in, weird as was meant to be last working day of the month. But like i said, work just pay us when they want! I'm a happy girl though because got £300 extra this month for all the over time i've done.
As i have been paid i have now decided to go shopping with my best mate, just praying i don't spend too much.
After much thought i am now not going to buy new trainers with my littlewoods cashback, i am instead going to call Littlewoods today and ask them to put the £60 towards my debt. So thats an extra £60 paid to be knocked off my debt!! Woohoo0 -
I love logging online and seeing my debt going down, however i don't think its going down quick enough for my liking.
I have just started doing comps in the hope that i will won. I've never been very lucky though. I put my name down for some Radio 1 Big Weekend tickets, you guessed it i didn't win - damn!
Been a bit naughty this week and not been making my lunch for work. I've been spending £3+ a day on lunch, not very happy about it but I'm so lazy in the mornings i just think to myself i will buy it instead. That must stop!
So far this week i haven't managed any overtime, its looking like in Mays pay I will only get 14 hours worth of overtime for April.
I think i have slipped up a little over the last month, from my calculations, the date when everything was meant to of been paid has changed:
Littlewoods will now be paid in full by the end of July
Barclaycard will be paid in full at the end of October
Parents will be paid in full by end of October
I am still within target to be debt free by November, I just wish it could be sooner though.0 -
Yay - Its Friday at last and its the bank holiday weekend :j:j
Today I am off work as I'm going to get my hair done, having a whole new style and a full head of highlights, so I'm praying i like the end result as its going to cost me £100. I know bit naughty but it does need doing and i don't often get my hair done, prob once every six months.
Hopefully i can have a few nsd's this bank holiday weekend.
I've still not stopped buying my lunch everyday , I just don't have the energy to make it every morning, poor excuse i know.
I must do better, I MUST!!!!0 -
I didn't get a chance to call Littlewoods last week, but I have just done it and that call has knocked £70 off my debt using my cashback. God i love making payments where it doesn't cost me a penny - woohoo!!!0
