Well done, your doing well.
make sure to keep those costs down at work and just remember that £1 on a bottle of coke at work every day is around £250 a year!
Im doing well aswell, I got abit of a bonus from work also which has helped me pay back all my ccards now so ive just got my loan left in less than 4 months.
p.s. When are you away to Paris?
Im away with my gf on 11th April for 4 days so im really looking forward to that. Its for her b-day.
Thank you Ferrett.
I'm away from the 28th March for 4 days - should be a nice break now i don't have to worry about taking £60 less with me.
Have a lovely time in Paris yourself - i bet your girlfriend can't wait! Shopping heaven(sorry don't mean to scare you) hide them credit cards!

Yeah - thanks for that
Let me know how it is and if you have anything you would recommend for when we go. Is that ok?
Any good restaurants, tips etc.July MB Challenge- £300.00 got £301.14August MB Challenge - £300 got £524.90Septembet MB Challenge- £300 got £0 (just started)0 -
Thats fine Ferrett. Hopefully i can find a few restaurants that are good for us DFW.
Its been a great day today - managed to do some more over time, so my total by the end of the month should be around 15 hours over time for Aprils pay :j that will be a great help to pay a chunk off my Barclaycard.
Once I have been paid this week I'm hoping to pay around £500 off my debt - I can't wait to see my debt under the 2K mark.
This forum really has been a life saver for me. I don't think i would've stuck to paying off my debt if i hadn't stumbled upon this forum. I remember last year my Littlewoods debt was 3K, Barclaycard around 2K. In less than 8 months I've stuck at it and paid nearly 2.5K towards my debts.
I'm hoping 2008 will be my year to become debt free!0 -
Well i got paid today, wasn't as much as i was hoping though. I think the tax man took half of my bonus & overtime - i officially HATE the tax man!!!
I have managed to pay £600 off my debt today though, not as much as i was hoping, but least its under 4K now.
I'm off to Paris tomorrow - hopefully if i cut back the spending while i am away i can overpay some of my debts when i get back!!
I am happy I've finally got below 4k :j:j:j, I'll be even happier in six months time when I'll hopefully be under 1k.0 -
That's great paying the £600 still though Hayley, well done you :T.
Hope you have a great time in Paris x0 -
Back to normality - back to money saving!!!
Had a FAB time in Paris, i even stopped myself spending money on stuff i didn't need to buy - no new Gucci handbag for Hayley!
Unfortunately i don't think i will be able to pay any extra off my debt, i'm going to work hard in April though and do more overtime and do more selling on ebay. I might even list a new pink ipod i got as a gift but don't use.0 -

What was the best bits of paris then?
Anything for me to think about?

hi hayley, just had a read through your posts and think were pretty much in the same boat!! im 22 and still at home with the folks (unfortunately), working fulltime at the moment then going to college after the summer!
glad to hear you had a great time in paris, i would love a holiay this year but want to pay off my debts even more!
look forward to reading your diary, keep up the good work!

Hi Carrie, thanks for posting.
I know what you mean about living at home still, i'd love to move out, unfortunately due to how much it costs to move out these days, i think i'll be stuck with the folks for another year.
I felt guilty when i came back from Paris as i should of really used the money to pay off debts, but then realized everybody needs a treat sometime, besides i'm being good now and doing more overtime to make up for it.
What are you going to be studying at college?0 -
Today I've had a real downer of a day. All day all i've thought about is my debt and how i have nothing to show for it, yet every month I'm paying out more or less every penny of my wages towards it.
I've decided I'm going to try and pay around £600 a month towards my debt, unfortunately by doing this it won't leave me much to play with every month (approx £90) once I've paid for my driving lessons.
My new debt free date should hopefully be the end of September, if can find a way of finding an extra £66 on top of the £600 every month.
Parents will be paid in full - end of August
Littlewoods will be paid in full - end of August
Barclaycard will be paid in full - end of September
After such a rubbish day, tonight i've done some sums and I'm a lot more happier knowing in around six months i will be debt free, hopefully have passed my driving test so no more spending hundreds a month on lessons & i will finally be able to save for a car/flat - yippee!!!!
I may go make myself a nice cup of hot choc before i go to bed - a little treat for myself. I wish it was a large glass of wine, but i have a driving lesson at 8am tomorrow - ouch!0
