Council house entitlement!!!

hi my dad was in the same situation when we was younger as him and my mum split up and he was renting private property but after 6months the owner wanted tosell the house and as he was unemployed at the time he couldnt find anyone that would rent to him on benefits in the end the council tried putting him in a 1 bed flat even tho he had us 5 children in the end thy gave him a 2 bed so there was me and my 3 sisters in one room and he shared 1 room with my brother so its highly unlikly they will give you a larger place.
i do not understand y so many people are going on about owning a house etc. as the op poster was asking if she was entitled to a larger council house so y go on about if you want a larger house buy one not everybody is lucky enough to be able to afford a mortageWins for 2011: ........................

Omg , i was going to post as i have a similar question, but i wouldnt i cant understand why some people feel the need to preach to someone they dont even know when all they did was ask for advice ,doesnt it say somewhere on this forum "There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps. "some people need to step back and think i bet they wouldnt offer the same advice if they met the op face to face.:(~We are all going to hell and guess who Is driving the bus~*Norn Iron club Member 294* (Hi, we’ve had to remove part of your signature. Do you think that its conductive to refer to what may or may not have happened on another thread.
I'm guessing that you mean Mrs E and the whole arms incident ~ its IRRELEVENT and to be perfectly honest just makes you look like you are trying to make her look bad.
She may not have the most polite posting manner in the whole world but as least she has the balls to stand up for not only what she beleives but the biggoted twerps jumping on the OP for nothing worse than asking a pretty daft question!!!
I beleive that whilst we are in Martin's house no question is a daft question and PLEASE BE NICE TO ALL MONEYSAVERS!!:heartpuls baby no3 due 16th November :heartpulsTEAM YELLOWDFD 16/6/10"Shut your gob! Yes, I don't know if Mrs E has been rude to anybody anywhere elseemsywoo123 wrote: » Are we just talking about this thread?:o0 -

As I asked RoxieW, would you like to quote me where I have?0 -
Can I ask if the OP is still about if they feel that they have had their question sufficiently answered?

And before anyone asks why or gets narky, I was merely going to suggest that it might be prudent to close the thread?0 -

You edited it quick.
You have some brass neck accusing me of being rude.
Sarcasim is dripping from your post.
I think she has been well & truely "told".
I doubt she will dare ask advice again on MSE.0 -
I agree OP is not '' entitled '' to a larger house and on the basis of the reasons for this request OP you probably won't be offered one......I know as my sister and her husband have one son and his daughter from previous relationship stays nearly every weekend they are not eligable to be considered for a 3 bedroomed house, they currently rent privately but landlord has decided to sell property.
However OP you may find someone who wishes to exchange from 3 to 2 bed.,
My husband and I live in a HA house, we both work, pay our rent and council tax....we are not second class citizens just because we don't have a mortgage.......
I know a few people who ''own'' their own homes, but don't or won't work and the mortgage interest is being paid for by social security..along with the council tax ec.,.......I don't condemn them for their situation either....9 times out of 10 it is a situation that has arisen that is out of their control.
We are all struggling to survive and live our lives to the best of our ability....unfortunately there is a stigma that is outdated but is still thought by some in regard to people who live in social housing.
In an ideal world perhaps we would all be able to earn enough to qualify for a mortgage and be able to afford to meet the repayments...unfortuanely we don't live in ideal world.0
