can we leave Mrs E alone please? She has already expressed upset at being "got at" recently on another part of the forum and now it seems as though people are closing in on her trying to get her to say she has been rude. If she has been a bit abrupt in some peoples opinions, maybe it is just that she felt the need to stand up in support of the OP who got a barrage of abuse for asking a question.

You know what, this forum is losing sight of Martin's intentions. He wanted this to be a place where money savers can come together and help and support each other. If he had the time, patience or energy to read some of the posts and discussions on his site I'd bet he would be devestated at the lack of respect being shown to moneysavingexpert.com. People will always have strong views and are bound to clash occasionally but for crying out loud, the bullying, sarcasm and judgmental nasty comments are just unbearable. Nobody on here has the right to look down on anyone or to slate anyone for their lifestyle, because we don't know everybody's full story nor do we know where us ourselves may end up

    Am now climbing off soapbox!!

    You edited it quick.

You have some brass neck accusing me of being rude.

Sarcasim is dripping from your post.

I think she has been well & truely "told".

I doubt she will dare ask advice again on MSE.

    I was not being sarcastic.

PLEASE BE NICE TO ALL MONEYSAVERS!!

That applies to you just as well as everyone else on this thread. It's not just one 'side' that has demonstrated rudeness, as shown in your posts above. It's a shame really, best to just do as you would be done by, I feel.

To the OP, good luck in saving & upping your income to afford a better place for yourselves. Have you had a look on the "Up Your Income" forum for some ideas on how to increase your earnings?

Do you think that its conductive to refer to what may or may not have happened on another thread.

I'm guessing that you mean Mrs E and the whole arms incident ~ its IRRELEVENT and to be perfectly honest just makes you look like you are trying to make her look bad.

She may not have the most polite posting manner in the whole world but as least she has the balls to stand up for not only what she beleives but the biggoted twerps jumping on the OP for nothing worse than asking a pretty daft question!!!

I beleive that whilst we are in Martin's house no question is a daft question and PLEASE BE NICE TO ALL MONEYSAVERS!!

I don't know what you're referring to, I'm just talking about Mrs E being rude to people on this thread. I think it's great if she wants to discuss things but COMPLETELY OUT OF ORDER to insult people! And as for me trying to make her look bad, from her posts on here she's perfectly capable of doing that by herself!

    Try 37 hours per week.
    More realistic

I was being conservative when I said 40 hours.
RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

I work full time at 36 hours per week:D

I think the average is 37 or 37.5 hours per week.

I know someone who was allegedly given a 3 bed based on children visiting at weekends. All councils have different rules so you're best off asking your local council directly. Good luck.
