Hi there! Jellybeans - It looks like there are 11 more squares needed for HTA but I will ask Lainey because she has been keeping a chart going, bless her. It may be less but I'll ask her. I think I'll start another one just in case and put my little blue hat on hold.
Mrs Moneypenny - what a great start - on third hat already!
I'd love it if we could keep a running total of hats. I'll update my sig now to include them as well.
I'll take pics of my Mum's little teddies - I still haven't had time to practice uploading but at least I'm taking the photos!

Cath i 'think' oec and hta is the same thing
(they are the ones we are sending to artystitches (AKA Naomi). Reading kathys last post we need a few more 8inch squares and are then changing to 7inch ones (they only agreed to take 8inchers as we'd already started knitting them)
im sure someone will correct me and give you the right info if im wrong, i'll start another 8 inch square to help with those if needed once i've finiched my current hat.
Kathy im being a bit of a cheat with the hats that must be the easiest one to knit that i have chosen its just like a little ribbed bbble hat (without the bobble)SPC~12 ot 124

Yes, Mrs Moneypenny - you're exactly right. We started calling the squares HTA because we were going to make them for Help the Aged, but then we were told about OECS who sew up squares into blankets for lots of charities including those for the elderly. So, HTA and OECS are one and the same! Sorry for not making that clear - I should have explained it a long time ago. I can understand the confusion. OECS usually take 7" so we can carry on with that size from now on.
Mrs Moneypenny - is that the super-stretchy hat you're doing? I'm doing the 'top knot' hat but I'll have a go at the super-stretchy one next. I've just started crocheting another 8" square for HTA/OECS just in case we are short of them.
I'm going to pm Lainey to see if she knows exactly how many more we need, then I'll post it on here. My sig says 11 but I've nearly finished the one I started this afternoon so that brings it down to 10. Crochet is a lot faster than knitting so, if we need more, I'll concentrate on them and crochet them all to save time. I've started a little blue hat and will alternate between the two tonight!

Hi guys, the site just did the strangest thing. I wrote a post, posted it and it came up 4 times so I went into one to delete it and it took all four away!!!weird!!
anyhoooo, hope you're all well?
beethebee, glad you feeling better chuck.
pippa.s enjoy your break, i'm not at all jealous!!!
lynne, got your square today, thansk you for your kind note (blush). thats 134 I've had so far!squares I mean lol!
Mrs moneypenny, could you pm me your address please? i have something for ya.
Kathy, your mum's a star, it's where you get it from no doubt!
As regards the HTA squares , I have us down for 115, so..... if Beethebees 4 squares are in addition to the 6 she has already done, and 2 from mioliere, that makes it 5 more needed to finish two blankets!!
Kathy's right, I have messaged Smoky to about getting the blankets to her. I'm more than happy to take them but I wouldn't impose myself on her if she wasn't up to it, after all I am a complete stranger. She hasn't replied yet but theres no rush and she has far more important things to think about. By the way... won't hear of anyone contributing to postage, you have all already gone the extra mile!!
I'm going to start picking out squares for smokeys blanket tonight and will try to get a pic up somewhere.I don't want to get too far ahead until I have got everyones squares in so that everyone will have at least one square in Smoky's blanket.
catch y'all later, Lainey
