Phone started ringing and wouldnt shut up:eek: had`nt even done the packing, so rushed around doing that, rang sister in gloucester to update her on mom,Then youngest son and his wife arrived with a birthday card and pressie for OH.:D 10.00 when they went , hair washed ,shower, finished packing had bowl of cornflakes then came on here to see what you have all been up to.

I will be back in 2 weeks, so please dont go moving around and losing me

Sounds like you need a break, Pippa! We'll still be here! As for the 'hats' challenge, even if we reach 50 within the next two weeks, there will always be a need for a hat! 50 is just a target but more than that will be a bonus! Then there's bootees, cardigans, jumpers, knitted teddies - we could be knitting forever!

Have a great time and thanks for all your time and effort.

Hi everyone - just popped in to say my lovely Mum has knitted three teddies with blankets for us to send to the Smokelets! They are knitted from the Burundi bear pattern which is on one of the charity sites and she's made one girly one and two in macho colours for the boys!

I shall send them on to Lainey so that they can be put with all the blankets.
Hope all is well. Is anyone still doing HTA squares at the moment?

DH has just posted off my last 4 knitted squares for Smoklets, I was going to post them on Mon but have been a little under par but am now back on course. A HUGE well done to every one of us.:A

Just a thought ...... when Smokie/lets blankets are sewn together they will weigh quite a bit and will also cost quite a bit to post them off, therefore would it be possible to help with the cost, I am more than willing to contribute, hope no-one objects :o

Hi Beth - sorry you've been unwell. I think Lainey was going to find out about getting the blankets to Smoky; she said she doesn't think she lives too far away but, if they need posting, then I, also, am happy to contribute to the postage. I'll see what Lainey says - I think she has already pm'd Smoky to ask if would mind a personal visit from her to deliver them.

Hi, I'm almost back to normal now, whatever normal is!! It would be nice if Lainey was able to deliver in person and convey all the love and wishes we all want to send to Smokie, my heart really does go out to her and I do pray for her daily, but I would understand if the meet would be too emotionally charged to cope with. Such early days.
That's kind of you to offer to contribute, I'm sure we'll find a way to help.

Lainey, my final 2 squares and the card are on their way to you now. I'm sure cream wool will look lovley to sew up with

I've started hats now i've already made 2 of the super stretchy hats in the smallest size (one is pink and one lilac/mint) i've got another mint one on the needles. They look so sweet and diddy.

Kathy that was really kind of your mum to make those teddies, im happy to help with postage too if the blanket need posting.
