Ahh, thanks, but I like learning new things and when I read this I was touched by it and would like to help! When I asked my Nan today, she said
"I can teach you, but its not the correct way but its the way I've always done it and the way my Mum did it"
He he!! So it'll be interesting! She is great at it so I am sure I'll have something half decent made after she's shown me!!
Very nice of you to be sewing them all together.

Madge - your Nan's way will be just as good as any other. We all develop our own way of doing things! As for the time limit for Smoky's squares, there isn't a definite one. We are up to around 23 squares of 63 we need for her blanket plus we are now doing ones for her children and then, if we still want to carry on, we can make more blankets for other causes. There will always be someone in need. If you take to crochet you might not be able to stop and doing the squares will be perfect practice!

Thanks all of you for all you have done and are doing.

    Hello,

may I join the group and the list please? I've finished my first square for smoky's blanket, so if someone can send me the details of where to send them to that would be great. I've been playing about with some patterns - they don't have to be a certain style, do they? Also the first square is a little crinkly around the edges so may need to be pulled straight a bit :o
  • hi squishy,of course you can join in!! i'll add you to smokys list ,thanks very much. I'll PM my address to you to send the squares to as I'm going to sew it up and send the blanket to Smoky when its done.
