Hi all - just updated my sig from the 7pm count; thanks again Lainey. Well done Squishy and good luck, Madge!

I have not had much time on here at all lately - it's been my DH's birthday and we've had visitors all afternoon. I'll have more time tomorrow to catch up with you all. Going to sit down and carry on with Smoky's squares now!

    Kathy

Aril - I'm not sure whether Smoky has all boys or some girls. Perhaps someone will know on the daily? I know we are choosing our own personal colours for the blankets but it would be nice to make blue for the boys and pink for girls. I like the name Smokelets, by the way.

Lainey - thank you so much for updating - you're really on the ball, aren't you? I'll update my sig now. If we carry on like this, we'll cover the world in Wooligan squares ten we'll have to call ourselves the World Wide Wooligans!

I've done a couple of hats for Save the Children - I'm only going to put one label in just copy out the info for the other hat - and I'm about halfway through a purple square for Smokey's blanket.
I haven't contributed to the HTA blanket because I don't have any suitable wool at the moment, and I'm on a really strict budget. I keep asking at the local charity shop - no luck so far but you never know!

SEAKAY - I think it's great that you've made some hats for Save the Children. Don't worry about squares for the HTA blanket - it's the knitting for good causes that is the most important thing on this thread. Squares are ideal for using up left overs which makes it even more MSE so there's no point buying new anyway, if you have other wool spare for other projects. I found some lovely patterns for simple baby clothes on www.lovinghands.org.uk site, which I want to do soon. I have lots of baby wool left over from various additions to the family and the clothes are desperately needed in the third world.
