Well, having had such a 'brainwave' I'd better get clicking those pins.
It was reading smokys post on the daily about her son cuddling up to a phote and another poster suggested a jumper of Eric's.

Keep up the great work Wooligans :T

Morning everyone, Just like to add my squares, I have done 4 for HTA and 3 for dear Smokie, hope to make the total to 10 by Sunday night. I have to go to DD's now and am away on Monday till Friday but will hopefully get some more done next week if poss. I'm not as quick as I normally am as I am awaiting operations on both arms for Carpel Tunnel Syndrome. Not easy knitting when at times I cannot feel my hands ..... My excuse for droping things !! :o

dont know if this has been mentioned im trying to catch up but this thread is going so fast oxfam are collecting 9inch squares for a giant baby blanket each square to represent a mother that needlessly died in childbirth that would have survived had she had the proper medical avaiable, sorry if this has already been posted but i have about 7 pages of catch up to do, im also trying to relearn to knit learnt during my alevel in textiles and then locked the skill away in my brain come the end of college and im now struggleing to retrive the infomation but squares where about as advanced as my knitting ever got so maybe i'll be able to knock a few out

Hi everyone. More squares! It's mind-blowing how everyone is knitting and crocheting away for all the blankets! I will update my sig in a mo but, thanks, Lainey, for keeping the running total up to date! I love the idea of making blankets for Smoky's children.

Will catch up with you all later.

Hi Twink - yes, we can carry on with Smoky's blanket and squares for blankets for her LOs, too. It's a lovely idea, isn't it?

Madge- hello to you. It's not too late to make squares for blankets for Smoky and her family. You will have read about her losing her dear husband last week; we are doing 8" squares for her and her children, in our own personal colours. Lainey Stardust is kindly sewing them together for us. I'll pm you with her details for posting. Thanks very much - your contribution will be very welcome.
