Hi Shazrobo - well done on completing your first hat! To add a sig just go into 'User CP' at the top of the page, then, on the left hand side you'll see 'Edit Signature', type what you want in the box and save. Your sig will then appear at the end of all your posts. You're allowed to have up to four lines.

I'll update the running totals in the morning and add your hat then!

    Morning

Welcome to you shazrobo you will like it in here we are a friendly crowd:D

Yes mrs-moneypenny the challenges for the Autumn are really good are`nt they, and quite a choice, I have a teddy just started, and have found a few balls of chenille wool, that can be used for the scarves.

15th March kathy hard to believe its only around 4 months we have been going, time fly`s when you are having fun so they say, and yes it has been fun being involved with the Wooligans Group I am sure you would all agree:D

Hi Pippa - yes, I find it hard to believe just how much has been achieved in so little time! I would never have predicted such a massive fantastic response - I honestly didn't think the idea would even get off the ground, let alone fly like it has!
It's all thanks to you enthusiastic and skilled knitters; without you the whole idea would have sunk into oblivion!

I need to update now with Shazrobo's first hat and then I'll pop into Loving Hands, do the daily trivia quiz and read the latest posts.

    Latest Update:

The first figures are for the STC (Save the Children) hats and the second is for the (IS) Innocent Smoothie hats which we can do in readiness for the go ahead of Sainsbury's next campaign.

Kathy you might want to avoid the loving hands forum for a bit, lou read that you were disappointed not to have fine ply jumpers in the challenge so she offered you a personal challenge of a 42in chest jumper in 2 ply- she want to email you the pattern:rotfl: .

    how is teddy coming along?

    Hi all :)

I've just applied to be a Wooligan after Kathy pointed me in the that direction, just looking at the challenges on the lovinghands website and noticed they want scarves. I've got several knitted up already, haven't had time to read all this thread yet but wondered if scarves are okay for the elderly or do we only do childrens clothes and toys?

Also I have the pattern for Jean Greenhowe's Rainbow Baby dolls, I printed it off ages ago but had no one to knit them for, if I knitted some now, is anyone collecting them?

Hello, I just found this thread, I haven't been on this board for long. Would it be possible to join in your activities please? I have LOTS of wool and needles lol and would love to put them to good use.

Hi all. Mrs Moneypenny - I haven't checked Loving Hands since this morning - Lou has kindly emailed me the Pimp my Boob pattern and entry form but was obviously too scared to mention the personal challenge in her email! I'll visit the site in a minute.

Herbaholic - I think any size scarves are welcome by Loving Hands because they distribute to many different causes. They also accept any knitted toys, not just teddies, so they will find homes for any Rainbow Babies you knit.

Buggalugs - welcome to you. We'd love you to join us. If you read the very first post on this thread all the relevant information is there and it's updated regularly to show the running totals of our challenges, addresses for sending knitted and crocheted items and links to patterns, tutorials and so on. Please also join us here on our Yahoo group http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/Wooligan/ where you'll find lots of photos of things we have made so far. You will need to apply and then I have to 'approve' you. You'll also see lots of mentions of Loving Hands on here. This is a fantastic group that knits and distributes to many good causes. Lou, who runs it, is a wonderful lady and will make you very welcome. Here is the link www.lovinghands.org.uk.

If you want to knit squares you will find addresses to send them for sewing together in the first post on here.

I hope you enjoy it here!
