Hi Jellybeans - I've just checked the pattern instructions and it just says the teddies should be 'approximately' 10" tall so I'm sure both of yours will be perfect! As for one of yours looking 'a bit funny' that's just the personality you've given it - there'll be a child out there who will love it! I've only just finished my first teddy but hope to start another one today. I'm really enjoying making them; they'll be much loved, I'm sure.

I've just found this site - don't worry, it's not our next challenge! I just thought you'd like to see it; the knitting is amazing especially when you realise how tiny it is!

Hi Kathy I have just taken a look at these sites and I love the baby blanket, but I am really glad the bugknits are`nt going to be our next challenge
It is hard to believe anyone can knit so small, but o isnt it wonderful?

I would need a very strong magnifier to even see the needles, I didnt think they were made so small.
She is one amazing lady and must be so dedicated and patient:T

Hi Pippa - thanks for the update.

Yes, the miniature knitting is fascinating, isn't it? Some years ago I bought some tiny needles and very fine wool from Buttercup Miniatures; I even bought some very tiny baby dolls but I just could not manage to knit - one day I'll invest in a magnifying glass and have another go! Still, that's a personal ambition - the things we are knitting now are so much more important! The teddy is such an easy pattern; I've never knitted the whole thing in that way before - the first half, then reverse to do the second half. Makes it nice and quick and hard to make a mistake (although I did have to unpick the head when I realised I hadn't changed to stocking stitch!).

Off to add your teddy to the totals; mine should be joining him later on this afternoon!

    Latest Update:

The first figures are for the STC (Save the Children) hats and the second is for the (IS) Innocent Smoothie hats which we can do in readiness for the go ahead of Sainsbury's next campaign.

Hi everyone. Hope you are all enjoying the weekend! I have just found this site which translates any digital image from your computer into a pattern for knitting. It's unusual but could be very useful and, best of all, it's free to use (although you can made a donation through PayPal if you want to!).

    http://www.microrevolt.org/knitPro/

I've just tried it and it turned a sketch of Little Bo Peep into a graph which would be easy to copy in knitting, crochet or cross-stitch.

Hi mioliere what a lovely day it is too, nice and sunny, just right to spend some time in the garden, it does need a bit of TLC ;)

Can you update me with 1 teddy-1 IS hat-1 STC hat please.

I am going away for a few days tomorrow morning so I wont be on for a while. I will be busy though as I am taking my knitting bag with me. I just can`t sit and do nothing, I get the fidgets, even watching TV if I am not knitting.

I will pop back in later to catch up on all the news.

Just a thought has anyone heard from Martyn?

    Morning everyone :)

Can you update me with 12 more smoothie hats please Mioliere :) (total of 21 now). I've set myself a challenge to knit as many as I can before the campaign starts, and they all have to be different. I'm having great fun playing with colours and fuzzy wool!
