[FONT=arial,sans-serif]I've just received the following email about some Clarins I sold this week:
Hi,after closer inspection of this cream i beleive it not be clarins....as i was a clarins consultant for 4 years and a regular user of their products i know that they do not use perfume in any facial products and this is highly perfumed....the box was not sealed in cellofine and does not have the iner lid.....i have tried a small amount on my face and my face is burning...i also beleive that this has been filled with something other than clarins...therefore i would like a full refund for this please or i will be reporting you to ebay.I would appreciate your response asap.
Why are some people so weird - really it's worth £25:mad: It's just like stealing to make this stuff up - are they going to send me back the 'fake' they are talking about. grrrrrrr! I KNOW this is 100% genuine, I've sold stuff for £1000 on ebay before - but no, now I've come across a loser who wants to rip me off for £25. grrrrrrrr! really upset - can't you tell.:D

Unable to check anything out as you have not provided any sort of link to what your are complaining about0 -
The text at the top of the post is an email i've just received about some clarins cream I sold on ebay this week. They are saying it's fake, and burnt their face, but it's not. So now they're demanding a refund - and knowing Paypal they'll give it.
Sorry if I'm being unclear - am very cross.Save me from spending...

To be fair, it's generally prudent not publicly post links where people can be identified.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
any hint as to who this is
only so I can add them to
my blocked bidder list.I had somone
rip me off over a brand new pair
of Birkenstock clogs last year.
Had to watch the used return
go for buttons to try and re-coup
some of the loss.I also have
stuff I got from Boots that I
intend to list and dont want
this bidder of yours trying it on
on any of my listings.
I know how maddening it is
to lose out like this:j:j:j0 -
I'm not an expert on selling on ebay... but if u have sold this cream b4 then maybe other buyer ratings will come in ur favour? If u really think they r lying y not report them 1st?0

'Not sealed in cellophane' is, I'm pretty sure, a give-away, as I don't think all Clarins products are cellophane wrapped.
That caught my eye because I bought perfume from a 100% trustworthy Ebay seller who lost her 100% through neg feedback about perfume not cellophane wrapped - Guerlain perfumes come just boxed.
And as a sensitive skinned user of Beauty Flash, it is definitely scented.0 -
Just say you will refund less the postage fees if they send it back to you. You can then reclaim end of listing fees and refund through paypal, then just list the item again.
Of course there is the possibility that they are not lying and it could be a faulty batch of clarins cream which is actually making her face burn. In that case either her or you should probably return it to the manufacturer and they should investigate.
Are you a business seller or personal? If you are just selling unwanted second hand stuff then its prob personal, but if you are selling lots of these clarins creams, then it is prob business. Anyway, business sellers have more obligations to refund I think.0 -
Also if you are a business seller, it will look better on you in the future to do refunds in case a customer is not happy as a gesture of good will.0

whats her feedback like?0

They have 215 feedback, so I thought it would be safe. I am only a personal seller - but often sell off gift with purchases so have sold a fair few clarins pieces.
I get the impression that they have made a mistake, and changed their mind. They sent me a second message saying that they hadn't actually had a reaction to the cream, but that it had already been opened. I KNOW that clarins products are never cellophaned, so I think they're just fibbing to get a refund.
I don't know why they don't just resell it themselves rather than send me horrible emails. I've bought things before and they changed my mind, but I would never dream of ripping someone else off. I'd just resell the item myself, even at a loss.
I think the fact that she's now changed her mind and said she thinks the cream's been opened before (which it hasn't) and that she's lied about the cellophane wrapping will go in my favour. Unless of course ebay are going to refund everyone who is currently listing clarins items as none of those are wrapped either. LOLSave me from spending...
