Did you go through the full NPB process? If he failed to respond to this, the rating should be removed.

oops, got on my high horse there, can you clarify what you mean by NPB?

    Thanks

"I have just got back from Debenhams clarins counter, and the consultant agreed with me that the cream looks and smells completly different."

    Yeah right.

I'd be tempted to ignore her from now on, and save my energy for the Rest of Life.

The consultant must be absolutely fabulous and obviously wasted on a make-up counter, the fact that she can smell and see the item and rub it in her skin without a clinical test.... this means only one thing..... she can magically determine what the ingredients are, I wonder if she knows tonights lottery numbers too!!!!!

Once again, can you give us a hint as to who she/he is so I can too block her from my ebay list. If you don't want to give us her name, you can give us the item list and we can work it out from there x

NPB = non-paying buyer. You did say you've given them a strike which suggests that you did go through the dispute process... but they've still been able to leave you a neg, which suggests they responded to the dispute... but you didn't mention that.

Sorry, very roundabout way of asking!

  • I remember reading a post ages ago about buyers stating perfumes/cosmetics were fake - they were buying real ones and sending back fakes. A good idea was suggested - to tell them that your items have a secret hidden mark (UV type thing I suppose) and once you are satisfied this is the same item sent then they can have a refund. This seemed to put them off!

Actually, I have just remembered about a perfume I sold on ebay a while ago... it was used, and I stated this, but genuine perfume. Had been open about 6 months or so.

Anyway, the lady who won claimed it was off or fake, and a different colour and smell to her usual perfume! Although it was second hand, I knew it was real as it was a freebie my girlf got from the manufacturers, as she used to work there.

In the end, it was easier to refund her the money (not postage costs) than argue about it! Relisted it and sold it again, the next winner was happy with it.

I'm so fed up with Ebay and the fact they wont look after us. It seems that dodgy buyers have more protection than us trustworthy sellers.

I advertised a gold plated bracelet as being made of silver but gold plated. The buyer asked me to post a 'buy it now' price which I did and he bought, now he's changed his mind, wont pay me, left me negative feedback saying i'm a con artist! I've complained to Ebay and given him a strike, spoken to his other unfortunate 'clients' and they too have been ripped off by him. Ebay say they wont retract his comment as it's his personal view of me..... yet it's untrue - can't we start a campaign so that Ebay will set up and listen to us and help protect us too!!!!

they couldnt have read the listing right if you said it was silver but gold plated,

I did think about it. Have just had another email from them, but I'm ignoring it. They're going on and on about the 'inner lid' being missing. Because of course they couldn't have thrown that away themselves:confused: It clearly states the cream was unopened so how would i know if it was on there:confused:she's changed her mind again - now the creams simply 'gone off'. But i thought the woman at Debenhams had confirmed it was a fake.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Am sure the bods at ebay will enjoy her 5 different stories as much as we have.:D

If it were were me, I would have asked them to send the product back and given a full refund in return.

I would then contact Clarins saying that I'd had a reaction to the product (as the customer has said) and they will ask you to return it to them and you can request any products to equivalent(ish) value to be sent to you as replacement.

Clarins don't mess around - their customer service is excellent.

Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."

I did think of this - but am slightly concerned that they have switched the real item for something fake. What's weird is they didn't contact me until they'd left me positive feedback and I did the same for them. Will wait and see if they actually make an official complaint.
