Why do they bother you so much?
Bamber, in the great scheme of things they don't bother me in the slightest.
I just thought that it might be useful for the OP, and other contributors who are not familiar with this pair, to be aware that's it's really not worth replying to their comments, as if a poster states that the sky is blue, these two will argue that it's green with purple dots.
However, I agree with you that in a way I'm just as bad as these trolls, since by the very act of remarking on their Trollism I am 'feeding them', as well as aiding them in taking the thread off topic.
And of course, you are right about posters making their own minds up about the two of them. They do indeed.0 -
Agreeing with someone is not sticking up for them, it's just having the same opinion.
You're not wrong there. However, following a member around the forum, thanking them for their troll-like comments and posting similar ones, is not necessarily 'having the same opinion'.I wouldn't make guess's about an individuals grasp of the English language,
You queried whether I had heard of an everyday word. I presumed this to be a sarcastic comment, since it is a word most people have heard of, so you can hardly blame me for making the remark I did about our relative grasp of English. (BTW, the plural of guess is guesses; individuals should have an apostrophe because it is possessive: individual's.)consider assumptions a form of ignorance.
A totally meaningless comment.Ever heard of the expression "scraping the barrel" with a basic grasp of English you should have!
Strangely enough, I've heard of this expression too. If objecting to bullies (particularly ones that gang up) who make deliberately provocative, and often abusive and insulting remarks to upset people, is 'scraping the barrel' then I'm guilty.0 -
This argument seems to have run its course.

and often abusive and insulting remarks to upset people
There are frequently posts/threads on here where there will be 2 sides to a story if you look deep enough. In most threads you will get both sides discussed. If this is upsetting people who only like to heard one side of an argument then thats their problem, it can hardly be described as abusive.
So there are 2 types of posts in threads. One from one side, one from the other. Having worked in retail for 13 years my posts will discuss how a situation will be viewed from the other side.
My posts will state an alternative way of looking at things, you get that on forums. However although my posts will show a different opinion I won't however start a personal attack. But this is exactly what you do if you see an opinion you don't like. The hypocrisy in your above posts and lack of self awareness are unbelievable. By the way it's a forum not an English exam. I won't double check my posts so if somethings wrong then somethings wrong, so what.
You are the one doing the personal attacks (off topic and not including anything to do with the thread), not me. I will however defend myself to the likes of you who are happy to do this.0
