 Good morning everyone
((Hugs)) To those who need them .... or just fancy a hug
((Smokeybabe)) I havent been able to catch up ... still but i have made that my job for today. Hope things have improved somewhat for you.
Everyone as is say i havent had chance to catch up on todays or yesterday thread. Only had a quick skim of todays.
Major drama here yesterday at 6pm.DS1 was envolved in a car crash where the other driver who caused them to swerve drove off.Leaving my sons friends car on its side after hitting into another carSo spent most of the night at the scene waiting for things to be dealt with, then H had to leave work and meet them at the hospital. They had to be smashed and dragged out of the car, which is wrote off. But on the upside, despite whiplash, a few bumps and my sons bad knee they are both ok. Looking at the car i am surprised that either one of them escaped so lightly. So i have been playing night nurse and it will continue today. Hes aching today saying his back and neck are sore but apart from paracetemol and ibuprophen i am not sure what to do ? I havent been in this situation before.
((Benthosboy)) This board is one of the most friendly and welcoming that i have come across. Its a great place to feel that you belong. I love the idea of doing something different. Infact i like it so much i think i might try that tomorrow. So i will make you a deal. You do something today and i will do something tomorrow. ( I suffer agrophobia after an attack, but need to reclaim my life also) Maybe not quite the same but if you are able to make a start then i will too (())
Right i must dash. I have so much to catch up on todayEverything was left up in the air so to speak.I will catch up on yesterdays thread and post later this afternoon.

Morning all. Big Hugs to Smokey, Benthosboy, choc.orange and her DS, hilstep and anyone else who needs one.
The photos of the mini meet yesterday are great, it's nice to put names to faces.
Well I have pizza dough chugging away in the BM, am about to put the towels and mats into the WM and generally spruce up the place as it's today that DS21 comes back from uni - although I'm supposed to be collecting him from the mainline station 20 miles away and of course he hasn't yet let me know what train he's going to catch
Feeling very OS this morning as I've had bubble and squeak for breakfast made from the sprout puree I made for supper on Weds (the sprouts were left over from Christmas, but no, I hadn't been boiling them since then...) and I saved last night's potato water for the bread dough. Will probably spoil it all now by opening a tin of something unmentionably non-home made for lunch
Right, I'm off to read the rest of today's threads before getting down to something productive.
Love

Got a day off the W place today so am washing, drying and swishing round the place.Going out tonight to a very posh presentation to my Dad for his sporting contributions in our town, so wont be eating much today(honest);)
Benthosboy I think what you are feeling is natural in the circumstances, so take any help you can get here, as people are brill and very supportive, but also go and have a chat with your doc about how you are feeling:D
Redruby hope your mum goes on ok today:D
Choccyorange (((hugs))) to you and your son, and also massive hugs to Smokey and her OH.:D

mrs-mix :hello:
Ive not been sleeping properly for a while now, but last night was worse, DD not feeling well, so up and down with her a lot, and she is off school this morning - she is asleep in the chair at the mo, and ive just put the LO up for his nap, so having a quick pop on here. Really feel like a sleep myself, my head feels all 'muggy' but if i sleep during the day, i def wont sleep tonight.
Nothing much planned, the weather is horrible, but will pop the WM on in a mo, will dry everything on the radiators. Meal plan says HM pizza tonight, so need to get the dough in the BM in a bit.
Hope everyone has a great day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Hello everyone,
I am new to the site and Old School seems like a cool place. I am really into using everything to its last and making the most of everything. So no doubt I will learn lots of great stuff from all of you.
Today I am trying to get our house into some kind of order before I go away for a girlie weekend, leaving my husband to desimate all of my good work with his rugby friends.Anyone fancy buying my degree? It will only cost you £18k.

kids now all off to school and just got the washing up to do and some stuff on the puter work at dinner as usual (hoping the weather stays ok indoor plays are harder) kids seem to be perfecting the art of needing to have lifts to differnet places at the same time at the mo, ive just managed to juggle the 2 DSs luckily a friend has offered to do one lot of tonights runs soother one wont miss his outing
smokey thinking of you
hilstep hope you manage to get a drs appt and the stair lift is fitted soon
susey hope the hospital goes ok
ageandjo what time do you get up? i think id struggle to achieve what youd done when you first posted all day! you are obviously better organised than me.
Martyn i hope things get better for you very soon, you carry on posting as everyone said there is a lot of support for you in here and sometimes just writing it down and getting it off your chest means you'll feel a bit better
hugs for tru, sounds like you need one (and a change of friends) a mate of mine used to have a sign saying "a friend in need is a PEST, get rid of them!" maybe you should get one and hang it on your door for a bit;)
scuzz hope you are feeling better soon and fingers crossed for the voice over work
chocolate orange, thats shocking about the crash, thank the lord no onw was seriously hurt, i hope your DS is fully recovered soon and they get the idiot that caused the crash:mad:
