Daily Thread for Friday 14th March 2008

, this is the Daily Thread for 13th March. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning All!
No one statted yet? seems like it's me then! I got woken by the pub's bin men, and realised I hadn't put out the recycling bin:eek: Had to get up and do it. Not easy when your walking is crap!:rotfl:
Banisters were put back up yesterday. Seems weird, haven't had banisters and spindles on the stairs for 10 years! DS was not impressed when he came in, can't jump over now!:rotfl:
Hopefully stair lift is going in next week..........Dr for me today if I can get an appointment. Still not right, hate MS it's a b************:o
Anyway (((((((((HUGS))))))))) for Smokey and anyone else who need one.
Have a great day all!

Went to dd's dance show last night, it was brilliant, and is helping with her confidence, we did not get in till 10, so are both tired this morning, she has to do it all again tonight, but her friends mum is taking them and DD is sleeping over at their house. OH and I are going out for dinner to a local pub where the food is a bit pricey but delish, can't remember the last time we went out alone :j
Taking mum to the breast clinic today, fingers crossed all goes well, she had been through so much, beaten cancer twice, I think she has had her lot.
Hilstep sorry your ms is bad at the moment, hugs xx

Morning All from sunny Yorkshire
Haven't really woken up yet, so I'm on here until the cup of tea kicks in:o.
I was out of the house most of yesterday. All yesterday's jobs need doing todayNevermind. The weather looks as though it's set fair today so I can get the bedding washed and dried. Which reminds me
:smileyhea My new tumble drier comes tomorrow :smileyheaCan't flippin' wait. As I've said before it's not just the getting the laundry dry but the added bonus of de-doghairing the clothes too. No more 5 minutes with the lint remover before I can leave the house. I'm a little fixated aren't I..............
Slow cooker beef stew for tea. Yum. Haven't had that for ages.
Now I need more tea. Off to read yesterdays thread now to see what I've missed.
Hugs to all.
PWxx

Morning all.
HILSTEP - (((Hugs))) to you; MS is a dreadful thing to live with. Glad your stair lift is going in soon.
SUESYSUE - Good luck with the doctor's appointment.
CHURCHMOUSE - :hello: :hello: :hello:
BENTHOSBOY - hope you have a good day.
SMOKY - thoughts with you today and always.
Yesterday's meet looked fantastic. The pics were great - GINGHAM RIBBON - I loved the dancing rhino - it was his ears twitching that I found mesmerising!
Well DH has just left and I have loads of errands to run today. I've done some ironing already this morning with just a couple of things left to do. WM is on and water is standing by for the BM. I have to pop round to see DS1 later; he, DIL and the LOs are visiting my Mum on Sunday so I need to give him the Easter egg I've bought her plus a couple of craft books I've picked up. After that, I have to go to the bank, do my food shopping and I desperately need petrol - I've been driving around on fumes for most of the week. My car has a thingummy that tells you how many miles you've got left on the fuel still in the tank. DH thinks it's helpful - I think it's designed to worry me because I can't actually trust it!
PINK-WINGED - as one of the board guides - some of us knitters and crocheters want to make squares that can be sewn into a blanket and sold or raffled to make money for charity. Is that against MSE rules? And, if it isn't, is it against the rules for me to pm my address to the other contributors so that they can send me their squares to sew together? I'd be glad of your advice.
Well, I'd better get going - I'm so worried about forgetting something today that I just want to get all the errands out of the way before lunch!
WANNASAVEMONEY - re yesterday's post. I will post pictures of the things I've been making over the weekend. It's been so long since I've done that that I've forgotten how to do photobucket so I need to familiarise myelf with it again!
Anyway, off to get going.
See you all later and have a great day, everyone.
KathyXX
Hope everyone has a great day.
REDRUBY - (((Hugs))) to your mum and well done to DD,KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:
Squares: 11, Animal blankets: 20 -
Morning all
Redruby, hope your Mum goes on OK today.
Lovely bright morning here, but DH has just had to scrape the ice off his windscreen, so must be chilly
Aussie, you were right, no Ming vases, so looks like you'll just have to put up with me
Off to Morrisons later to stock up on my Slimming World essentials, tried their Bowyers less than 5% fat sausages, and they are lovely, so I can now have sauaages again :j Please don't anyone tell me what's in them
Dentist tonight, so we are calling for a Chinese, it's ages since we had one because of my diet, but am really looking forward to it - sad isn't it
Smoky, thinking of you, and hoping things are improving
Have a good day everyone xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Morning All
TGIF it seems to have been a long week.
Plans for today - a little bit of everything really but most definately need to hoover house and wash floors - builder made a big mess on the kitchen floor last night but at least my leak is fixed.
Also going to make chicken stock today, might try it on the hob rather than the slow cooker.
Pizza for dinner.
Now off to find the meet pictures, have a great day.

Morning All
Big hugs to PP, Smokey, Mrs Mix, Hilstep, Sues & anyone else in need.
The meet pics are great, you all look like you had a great time.
Mrs Mix, glad to hear about the assessment.
Went to W.I. last night, my team won the beetle drive & came away with a mini egg each & I bought a jar of homemade marmalade.
I've also volunteered to go to the Federation meeting as delegate, they have great speakers & this year it is the Knicker Lady, a vicars wife who talks about the history of underwear. The meeting is during the school hols & I had planned to go, but didn't offer to go as delegate at first as it seemed a bit cheeky as I'm new to this group, but no one else offered so in the end I did. It means I get in free & get to sit in the main arena.
I've had about 2 hours sleep as Katy was on the rampage last night till 4am, she was on messenger & didn't know how to turn the volume down on the pc!
Have a good Day.
Hugs Hester
p.s. Do you think I could get a job public speaking? Various topics, such as mad lodgers & wierd jobs, lol

Hello all.
I hope no-one minds this but if anyone does, I'll go away and stop being a pain. I wouldn't blame you if you did, as good as you folks are and I am genuinely sorry for this but I don't feel as if I've anyone else to talk to.
With everything that's going on for me at the moment, I'm feeling very low and I'm really struggling with life. I'm not likely to do anything daft so don't worry. To be honest, I haven't got the energy for that sort of thing which is my main problem. I can't remember the last time I had a good night's sleep and this lack of energy is just dragging me down. I'm doing my best to eat well but I can't even manage that all the time. I would never have imagined that with a month to go before my 44th birthday that I'd be in this position in life and whichever way I look, I don't see it getting any better. Again, I'm sorry for all this, even more so because I know there are folks on the boards who are in a worse state than me and who really need support as opposed to someone like me who's probably brought it on himself.
I desperately don't want to annoy/bother/upset you good people, thtat's not my intention. Please don't think bad of me for posting this, I just don't know where to turn.
