    Hi Kimberley,

Theres a couple of questions you answer to get your points allowance and various ways to calculate how many points in food. The questions are somewhere in this thread, I'll see if I can find them.

I have the points calculator which is fab and really handy to have in my bag but there is a cardboard calculator too and books that you can get with listings in them. The WW website has loads of information too. I eat quite a lot of the same things and it kinds sticks in your head after a while how much a 'point' is.

Right let me look for you...

    Found it...

    Your personal daily POINTS allowance.

    1) Are you:
    Female...3 Points
    Male ......9 Points

    2) How old are you?
    16-20.....5 Points
    21-35.....4 Points
    36-50.....3 Points
    51-65.....2 Points
    Over 65..1 Point

    3) How Many Stones do you weigh?
Ignore the lb, the number of stones is your score for this question. Someone who weighs 12 stone 4lb will score 12 Points.

    4) How tall are you?
    Under 5ft 4ins......1 Point
    5ft 4ins or above..2 Points

    5) In your day to day life are you:
Sitting down most of the time.....................0 Points
Occasionally sitting, but mainly standing........2 Points
Walking most of the time............................4 Points
Doing physically hard work most of the time...6 Points

    6) Do you want to:
    Lose weight........................0 Points
    Maintin your current weight...6 Points

Now add up your score. This is your daily points allowance.

Just shout if you need any more info :-)
Really should be doing some work...

Tanny 786 since you know where it went wrong, you at least know how to fix it - just take each day at a time.
    Puddings - well done :grouphug:
Today I tried microwaving some pink and white mallow biscuits as mentioned on a WW thread somewhere. I put 3 in for 30 seconds on high and they puff up and go all gooey - lovely. I ate the middle and binned the wafer.

Well done Tanny! Losing 1lb even though you have had takeouts is amazing - and slightly unfair! I'm just jealous.

It was my third week this week too and I only lost 1lb. I have stuck to it religiously and I have been exercising loads including running and NEVER taking the stairs at work. I did expect a little bit more than a pound.

Is there anyone else who has had a really slow weight loss but have gone on to lose stones?

I keep telling myself not to give up and that if I keep losing 1lb a week thats still 3 1/2 stone in a year which is brill. It's just a bit demoralizing sometimes.

Well done to all of you for your weight losses! :T

  • I find that on weeks when I'm really active I lose less..... we had a different leader last week who has taken up walking (she will be doing the moonwalk and has done loads of training) and she put on several pounds when she really started exercising so maybe that explains it?

Hmm...if you're building muscle I was told (when I managed a gym) that it weighs more then fat does and thats why we used to measure our ladies too. I took my measurements too when I started WW so I can see inch loss as well as weightloss (monthly though not weekly) might be motivational?

Thank you schmickleicklepickle and puddings. I was thinking about maybe not doing so much exercise this week but it must be good for you so I'm going to carry on. Tonight when I get home from work I am going to measure myself with a tapemeasure and use that as a a monthly guide too.

Not got a weigh in on Monday due to it being bank holiday and the next week I'm away with work so I'm a bit worried about being on my own for 3 weeks but I'm not going to use that as an excuse to not stick to it!

Have a fab Easter weekend everyone!
