Well done on the loss Vikki =D

And glad everyone likes those warmed up pink and whites =D

My wi is on saturdays, im a weigh at home as well cant afford to go to meeting, i never really got much out of them. Got our office xmas party tomo have saved 12pts so far incase i go over. I like to save a couple every day for Saturday so after i wi i can make Saturdays my treat day with whatever i fancy =D so far its working out great, hope tomo turns out alright. Im not good when i cant plan ahead of what i will have.

This is what I do..weigh myself on a Friday morning first thing, then Friday is my 'treat' day where me and my g/f have mexican food for tea (without fail..we're addicts but I restricted us to once a week, and only on a Fri after my WI as mexican is costly in points >_< )

:-( my sneak peak at home before weigh in tonight only shows 1/2 a pound. Im very disappointed. I wont give up but I am upset with that. I stuck to my point (although guessed saturdays ones I over estimated I thought) and I swam or went to aqua aerobics every day this week apart from Monday. Grrrr

Chiquitos is my home away from home :rotfl:

God damn I could just pop there right now and eat a chimichanga for my breakfast lol :D

As for mexican food - we cook it ourselves, with a bit of help from Old El Paso ;D Just thinking about having my mexican treat on a friday night whilst watching some awful tv or a movie, helps keep me on track with my points during the week, knowing i can have yummy food on my WI day.

This morning I had some Ready Brek, made up with water instead of milk to keep the points down.

Can someone tell me how many points is in a measure of sugar please? Also, does artificial sweetner keep the points down? Or is there some magic product that can replace my sugar for sprinkling on my breakfast that has a better points value than sugar?

Sweetener is 0 points. I'm not a fan but it's better than sugar which is half a point for 5g. I usually go for honey, which is half a point for 15g (not that even the sweetest tooth could stand that much in anything!) and tastes so much better than either in your porridge.

As an aside, I find porridge with water is hardly different at all to porridge with milk. 30g oats, add some honey, chop a banana in it and you've got a 3 point brekkie which is one of your 5 a day and will last you til lunchtime... I was an addict way before WW!

Mexican is another one that makes me sick :( I learned this about 7 years ago when my ex took me there for valentine's day... And yet I still never learn as I've been back for birthdays etc and every time... In fact thinking about it, maybe tracking exactly what I eat will be good for pinpointing exactly what it is in Mexican food and fast food that makes me so ill!

My "treat" meal which I would eat every night if I could is slightly odd, I must admit, in that it's only a 5 point meal! It's been the same since I was a little girl....I LOVE smoked haddock with brown rice and handfuls of steamed spinach - but smoked fish is so high in salt I wouldn't be doing myself any favours if I did eat it every night. Living with someone who doesn't eat fish just makes me want it even more!

When I calculated that a large portion of smoked haddock was only 2 points I nearly wept with joy ;)

Oh no..not BANANA  :naughty: Even just the smell makes me gag lol :rotfl:

I've been craving ready brek for the past week with the adverts having made a come back as it's cold enough to instill a need for a hot breakfast in us! Picked some up yesterday in Asda - took my ww calculator with me, and a 30g portion is 1.5pts *thumbs up*(108 kcal, 0.4g sat fat) which I thought was pretty good!! The 30g portion as stated on the box is just for the ready brek itself, not a serving made up with milk. So I made it with water to keep it at its low points value - tasted hardly any different to as when made up with milk :D

    Morning all

Cheeky dont feel bad about your sneaky peek just yet-wait until your meeting. Also, how long have you been on ww and how much have you lost? The other thing I learned on sureslim is variety. I made the mistake then of eating the same thing again and again-slows the loss down too.
YWG I use candarel-also in our home baking. I get mine from savers for about a pound for a bottle of granulated and a pound for 300 tablets. But I also have honey on my oats, brans and muesli's.

I have a doctors appointment today at 11 and I have to see the nurse to play pin cushion so Ive had an extra apple this morning-hopefully that'll keep my upright. The only thing we have left in the freezer are irish sausages so I absolutely have to get some shopping done today. Biggest trouble isx I have to pick DS up at 12 and we all know what GP surgeries are like  So IF I make it, Ill be heading out to shops straight after...ww sandwich to eat whilst walking around the store?
Oh and Fran Im also struggling abit to use all my points. DF says its because before, I was eating all my food for the day at one sitting in the evening-and now because Im conscious of what Im doing, Im naturally choosing low points foods-which is good, but I feel stuffed so easily because my body just isnt used to being fed this often. I have found over the last few days its been easier though.

Where'd everyone get to today? I posted and everyone dissappeared :( Im going to get a complex ;) Anyway, got my shop done. It started as a weeks plan but I realised that after going for things like bags of cauliflower and broccoli (sp?) and mixed veg, there's probably more like two weeks and I'll have to top up on fresh stuff and meat. Got loads of veg and tins of chopped toms and baked beans. Also sweet and sour sauce-interesting. I was looking at all the options and found Asda smart price has 60kcal per 100g, 0.1g fat of which saturates Nil, and only 35pence for 440g.Also bought some "great stuff" pasta's-all little kid size shells and bits which I thought would be perfect for minestrone soup...and again, cheaper than the "adult size bits".My biggest shock though...couldnt find pink and whites at first. I asked 3 staff members and they didnt even know what pink and whites were  I got them in the end-but I only bought one pack of 6 because Im scared of them-that and DS is already asking for one (how terrible am I?)Guess Ill be having them when he's gone to bed

    Hi everyone

cheeky don't get too disheartened, my scales are completely different from those at my WI  and a couple of times I'd thought I'd put on, only to have lost. I guess we should all throw our scales out at home ...... I might just do that after Xmas, anyone care to join me?? !! :p

I'm another one who has porridge, banana and honey for brekkie. It's really filling ! I do try and vary things too as it does help with the weight loss. I had grapes, 0% fat greek yoghurt, honey and hazelnuts this morning, it was yummy !

I can also recommend the gnocchi with ham, cheese and brocolli (out of WW mag) - very filling and stodgy, just what you need in the winter :D.

Also finding I'm getting fuller quicker and for longer now (12 weeks into it) and recognising my 'triggers' easier and managing to do something about it (like sitting on my hands :rotfl:).

DH is away tomorrow so we're having sausage casserole (he hates it lol) but with WW sausages ......... need to work out the points but think it's about 4 for a portion. Will have with mash and peas :D.

Right DS at his school disco (he smells like boots bless him, bit too much aftershave ) ................. he's only 10 !!! :rotfl: Not sure who he's trying to impress, he won't tell me :D.

    Stay good people ! xx
