125ml sweet n sour sauce (I used uncle Bens and found out that that amount is free too).
Really? was that amount for all of you? Thought that would be a big nono as it has a lot of sugar in it :)

go to your local supermarket and look at the WW range of food, and what you get for your points - as they are designed to be lowish cal/fat, then it gives you a rough idea on how 'bad' a foodstuff is, if your normal portion size is way larger...

for toast as a snack, its not that bad a choice. as long as you stick to the WW bread, and instead of butter go for a real topping, like tomatoes and mushrooms (both point free) or low fat cottage cheese, or philadelphia - even jam weight for weight is better than using butter - as said before its all about taking the slightly better option eaCH time you eat something

I won't quote your entire post but wanted to thank you for that list, I think if I was a newbie to the thread and to w.w. I would find that really helpful :)

No that was for the whole recipe (serves 4) 1.5 points per 125g.(110calories and 0g saturates) Going to take DS to nursery now and then do some time in the wii. Will post properly when I get back.

most sweet and sour sauces are about 6pts per jar - so if you use a whole jar for a family of 4, then its only 1.5pts per person, which isnt that bad if you need some flavour

just noticed uncle bens light sweet n sour sauce, is only 3.5pts per jar, so even better than most

thats the one I used.Ive just done 45 minutes stepping on the wii fit and now Im confused. I went to log my activity points and typed in step-and it gave me 7.5 points? Surely thats not right? Anyone have any idea what I should be logging it as if thats not right? Obviously there's no choice for wii fit.

no, the step programme on the Wii, isnt of a similar intensity to a proper step class - i would say its more like an aerobic workout, 0.5pts per 10mins

however, 45mins of Step is 6.5pts, not 7.5

Thank you Flea, I knew it couldnt be THAT much. Still, between that and my walking during the weekend I have 5 activity points. Im struggling to eat enough points without activity points.
  • Afternoon All

I've been abit MIA this weekend, had a nice one though. Food wise well I had a curry on Friday night and then a buffet type finger food on saturday with shepherds pie and salad (don't ask, yum though) and yesterday we went out for sunday lunch. Also very yum. So I'm not sure how well I have done this week. I have pointed everything and have tracked and am saving points and earning activity points but I'm not optimisitic about this weeks weigh in.

On the plus side with christmas coming up and christmas do's to go to and a trip to italy at the weekend, I'm not banking on any major weigh lose between now and the new year but what I am going to say because I am new to WW I am hoping to get into good practices have found good recipes and generally know what I am doing to kick on in the new year. Not that I am trying to just have all food whenever I want it as I am still choosing better options.

I can't wait till January when I can show everyone I can do it I can lose this weight.

Hope all are ok and I'll let you know how I get on on Wednesday night (may have to not eat that day lol :p ).

Congrats to all who have lost and let keep up the good work :D

    Hi everyone,

Apologies for being AWOL but I've had an intensively busy week ! Got another one coming up so i'll make my excuses for not posting next week in advance :p.

No WI for me last week so I'll declare that as a STS but I've just got back from this week's WI and I've lost another 1.5lb ! :j Total now is 1st 3.5lb and I've hit my target of where I wanted to be at Xmas - still got one weigh in to go too so I might be able to sneak a bit more off so I can have a few treats over the holidays :D.

Day off tomorrow and need to do a food shop (hopefully last one before the biggie xmas shop) so I'm going to sit and mealplan for the next week and shop accordingly. Had pearl barley risotto with chicken and porcini tonight and it was yummy - very filling too !

Right off to find some recipes ........ keep up the good work everyone ! :T
    :jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j
