    Totally agree with what the others have said Melissa, you will need to eat to lose the weight (trust me, I've been here before :rolleyes:! lol) I'm very similar to cheeky (lost 4 1/2 stone and put it back on plus more) and I'm changing the way I do it this time. I'm going to have parties to attend and some events where I can't control the food so I'm just having to incorporate that into the scheme of things (e.g. eating the food but not pigging out on it because I shouldn't have it). Unlike last time where I denied myself everything and then wanted it because I couldn't have it. I did have good willpower but then when I moved house and stopped going to the gym and started eating big portions all the weight went back on.

    It's got to be a way of life and not just a diet to get you down to target and then start eating normally again. I'm going to make sure I enjoy myself a little bit along the way and if it takes me longer to lose the weight because I've had a few glasses of wine one weekend, then so be it ! :D

    I think it's a great idea to post what we've been eating for everyone to see so this is what I had yesterday:

    B = 30g porridge made with milk and a tsp honey
    S = Pink n White (thanks for the tip with these Sian !)
    L = Pumpkin soup, slice brown bread toast and low fat spread and a satsuma
    S = WW Peanut Bar
    D = Lemongrass and chilli prawn skewers x 2 (starter). Fillet steak 110g, sweet potato wedges 150g, salad and 0 point dressing.
    S = WW popcorn and 2 lemon puff biscuits

    Now I ate all that and still had 4 points left (I'm allowed 25 points a day atm). (Don't usually have fillet steak btw but DH was at a bon jovi recording session so I thought I deserved a treat ! hahaha)

    I lost 1lb last week but I wasn't eating enough so I'll post what I eat this week and then see what the result is on Monday (I think it will be more than 1lb as I tend to lose more when I eat all my points).

    Right off to get kiddies up for school. Have a 'good' day everyone and eat well !

    Sorry for the long post (bit lecturish too :o:o:o).

    Wow, some amazing posts especially from Cheeky, Sian and jtb :T I may even say inspirational!

    Goodidea to put our menu's on - also keeps us lot on the straight and narrow!

    Not such a good food day for me today - have a raging sore throat and bit of a headache so having a bit of a comfort food day...

    B = 2 x toast (2) and LF pate (1.5)
    S = Options coconut hot choc (0.5)
    L = 2 x toast (2) and spaghetti hoops (1.5) - and apparantly hoops is 1 of my 5 a day!
    S = either a pink and white/caramel snack a jack/apple (0.5)
    D = 3 x fishfingers (3), carrots (0) and BNS chips (0) and then SF jelly (0) and LF ice cream (2) :D - obviously the ice cream is for medicinal purposes...

    Currently totals 13, hmm thats not a lot, will add baked beans (2) to my fish fingers and have a hot choc before bed (I worked out that my luxury white hot choc from Whittards with semi skimmed is 4 points :j)

    So thats my 19 points spent.

    Oh my Innocent veg pot yesterday was delicious! I had the Moroccan Giant Couscous one and seriously filled me up..lovely and warm and pretty good for 5.5 points although not good for the ££'s I don't think.
    Really should be doing some work...
  • Thanks again for the advice, and the posts are giving me loads of ideas of things to make, after seeing what everyone else eats I really am under-eating, and will try out some of the foods posted on here, I looove soup so will try making my own at the weekend! Thanks everyone :)

    Yay cheeky :j ! A lb is a lb :D ! I sometimes wonder whether the subconscious kicks in, even though we're being 'naughty' we probably don't eat as much as we would have done previously :confused:. Anyway, well done :T.

    Today's food for me:

    B = 1 boiled egg and 1 slice bread and spread
    S = Pink n white (got 16 to get through lol :rotfl:)
    L = WW online recipe, Spicy chicken breast and rice, funsize pack maltesers
    S = WW potato bakes
    D = Turkey, pepper and pasta bake and traditional rice pud (both online recipes)

    Again 21 points used and still have 4 left.

    Will probably end up having more points tomorrow as it's DS birthday and we're having a lovely home cooked roast dinner and birthday cake for dessert :D.

    How's it gone today Melissa? What have you had ? (I'm being nosy now lol)

    A pound most certainly is a pound! And better off than on...especially when you look at what a pound looks like! See link below

    http://musclemana.com/images/articlePics/1lbs_fat.jpg

    Should stop us all saying only a pound!! I know I have been guilty of it before
  • Lovely photo!! :eek:Makes you realise I only lost 1/2 lb this week but half of that looks a lot!!

    oh cheeky that photo is gross don't feel too disappointed about losing a pound now,i think people just think I've been good all week and that's it :rolleyes: but as people have said the aim is 1 or 2 Pound's a week, i have lost half a stone so far and i feel so much better for it, i like the feeling that i am doing something positive, rather than just going for another Gregg's pastie:D
