  • hey no loss for me this week - stayed at 131.7lbs i have to be honest - hangover yesterday and managed all day without takeaway food - oh came back from golfing and decided he had to get a kebab! i tried to resist at first lol!! i had one onion baghee (typo?!) but haven't really been religious with a food plan!

the big thing i think is effecting any weight loss is my breakfast! im not really good at eating something in the mornings!

grrrrr must try harder for next week!

My first week back on WW after my holiday has been really good! I was nervous at coming off WW for the holiday. Even though I've done it before to great success, I build it up in my head to be a thing that 'I can't do' so I get scared to stop in case I can't start again. (I couldn't get started again for 5 years and I used to despair when others told me they'd lost weight and why couldn't I just go back on WW as it worked for me in the past? I couldn't really explain what was holding me back).

Anyway... wittering, sorry... I'm just really excited that I've managed to stick to it for a week. Hopefully I'll stick to it 'for a week' all the way to Christmas and be a proper good Santa Slim lol!

It's going to be difficult for me in the next few months though. I'm being relocated to our other office so I'll have a 50 min train journey every morning to contend with (and back the way)! I know trolley carts aren't exactly appealing lol but argh the boredom!

Katy, best of luck. I know you will do it, you sound really organised and the support on this board is better than any meeting in my opinion. I am also really excited about Santa Slim!! Nice one Puds! (When I first read your message I thought it was you that had gone on fire! Glad you're alright!!)

Best of luck to everyone else too. You're all a great inspiration :D

PS - oops forgot to say, first weigh in tonight since hols! Nervous!
  • hi everyone,
ive been a member of ww for many a long year and had been at goal for approx 2 years. then this year had all sorts health problems (almost sorted now) but had lots of pills and potions from the docs and together with getting real lazy ive put on a stone in weight in the last 6 months. Now feeling well again i need to get myself sorted out and back to my goal. Clothes are throttling my waist and backside and i will not go up another dress size.
Anyway my point is...sorry if im rambling on...can i join your lovely thread please? ive only just discovered you and plan on reading the old pages as soon as i gat the time. i find loosing the weight extremely hard and usually my weight goes down very very slowly, last time it was half a pound here a pound there etc. So if im rubbish bear with me please i do get there eventually. I would like a stone off by christmas ( ok stop laughing ) but anything over 7lbs will make me very happy.
I cant make the class near me so will be doing it at home alone, and will put my weekly meeting money on one side to treat myself to a new xmas outfit if i loose at least 7lbs. my weigh in day has always been a wednesday so i will weigh in and post on here every wednesday if thats ok with you all.

many thanks for reading , looking forward to all your tips and comments.

Hi findingmyfeet, your more than welcome to join. Half a pound loss a week sounds good, you cant have much to loose anyway. Hope you get your health problems sorted out soon. Good luck with weigh-in on wednesday.

ellieb16, well done on your loss, thats really good.

Katy1987, I dont go to meetings, the oh and dd do, I just follow the diet with them and weigh myself while there at the meetings, works for me.

credit_crunch, I wouldnt have been able to resist onion bajee's either, naughty oh, but at least you didnt gain.

princessofscotland, good luck tonight, I'm sure you've done well.

  • Hi guys

Haven't been on here for a couple of weeks. Holidays, back to school etc etc ! Hope you are all well!

Anyway 1st week of my holiday went well and I guess I must have lost a couple of pound, the next week I definately put it on, (but you've got to have fun on holiday!) The third week I got back on it and the total net effect was a loss of 21b. So I was pleased with that! Total 221b:rotfl:

Weigh in tonight so fingers crossed. I have also started helping out and so I get my weigh in free. Yeahhh !

Going now to catch up on all the missed posts now xxx

    Lets do it guys!!

Right there are 15 or 16 WI's until Xmas. If we aim for 1lb a week we can lose a stone, if we aim for 1.5lbs per week we can lose a stone and a half, if we aim for 2lbs per week we can lose two stone!!! This is well within the healthy weight loss WW suggests so we CAN do it!!

    Who's with me??

I'm going to aim for 1.5lbs per week. I will start a list of all those who will join the challenge. We need a name for the challenge:
    Cracking Christmas Costumes?
    Guiltfree Christmas Gluttons?
    Gorgeous Goddesses of Christmas Cheer?
Damn it I will fit into that LBD?
    Santa Slim?
All I want for Christmas is a smaller bum?
Jingle bell jingle bell jingle bell DROP (a dress size)?
We don't wanna wobble like a bowl full of jelly?
(Wish I was so creative at doing this spreadsheet I'm supposed to be doing...) :rotfl:

    And the challenge begins... :T

Hi Puddings, am I too late for the challenge ? If not can you put me down for 1 1b a week ? x

  • I'm feeling really motivated and positive too!! Especially since I only discovered sushi on Saturday. Had sushi for tea on Saturday, some for lunch yesterday and some for lunch today. Obsessed much lol?! Am quite sure that amount of anything can't be good for you but never mind lol, am stepping away from the raw fish now...

Well done yummymommy and welcome findingmyfeet! I bet you'll do 7lbs easy.

Puddings, could I join too please? Santa Slim sounds fun! If so, could you put me down for 1.5lbs a week (no pressure!!) please?

  • thanks for the welcome everyone. Tonight i need to do my shopping list for the coming week, healthy low cal goodies only. got lots of healthy veg left in the garden and freezer full too so no excuses on that front. need to get lots of fruit and ww yoghurts to keep me going in my tough times, fine all day then the evenings get me, the munchies just gang up on me.
also found out a couple of exercise videos (yes videos, thats how long it is since i bought one, ) and dusted them off and will have to get my dd to show me how to use the wi-she has trainer or coach or whatever its called, lady that does aerobics n yoga etc. least it will give the bus passengers a good laugh when they pass my house-real good view into my patio window.
All i need now is a good dose of willpower and im set to go......but 18 points dont sound much after the stuff ive been troughing for months...but then thats why im back .
good luck all see you all soon

Hi, just found this thread and thought I'd introduce myself :D

I'm Sarah, I'm 22 and mum to Imogen who's nearly 3, and Joe 18 months.

Have recently lost 46.5lbs on weight watchers :) and I'm feeling fab, I'm a size 14/16 now but still got 3 stone to my goal weight. I'm hoping to lose another couple of stone by Christmas x x
