O.M.G had to log on cos I seriously want to STUFF MY FACE!!!

Blimey we're getting thru some pages on this thread arn't we!!

I too find this thread more support - and more interesting - than the WW message boards cos its like having a proper conversation with my mates :D although I do find good food suggestions on there then share them with you lot!

I'm afraid I have no input re the great milk debate cos I don't like the stuff!

Well done Shaz :T am v impressed with your weight loss this week!

Hmm....motivation...I'm sure I've seen it in somewhere.....there's none in my cupboards tho I'm afraid

I think I'm gonna have to go to bed to try and stop this flipping craving for sweeeeeeeeeeet things, I've used all my points today.

Lunch is all ready for tomorrow AND dinner. Am having a chicken breast (2.5) marinated in one of the Nando's sauces (approx 1 point) with spicy rice (3) - roll on tomorrow night!! Oh dear, wishing my life away....

Oh Britains next top model is on, might watch that and keep my hands busy by painting my nails!
Really should be doing some work...

    Hi Jam,

    Don't panic! Draw a line....

You HAVE to be in the right frame of mind and really want it I think. I've started millions of diets and failed after maybe 3 weeks. This time I'd heard some success stories and thought yeah I could do that, I can have whatever I want etc (used to do Atkins on and off) so I joined monthly pass and mustered ALL my remaining courage to walk into that meeting. My leader and the members are SO encouraging I love it.

Then as the weight drops off that's motivation. I'm averaging a pound a week and I'm not missing out on anything. If you fancy something do something to take your mind of food - thats why I'm here!! I WANT CHOCOLATE! Keeping fingers and mind busy chatting to you guys hence I frequently write mammoth posts and wibble on for hours :o

Also I've stocked up with WW or own brand 'good' stuff so if I binge it's not quite as bad as it could be, if that makes sense. If I have a biscuit craving I head for my WW double choc chip cookies - yum. Even if I ate the whole box thats only 9 points - compare that to a whole pack of some other biscuits.....I will not name all my favourites that I used to eat entire packets of, i will not think about them i will not i will not i will not!!
Really should be doing some work...

Puddings, because you have too many interesting things to say :)

First week over and I lost 3 lb !!!1 :D

Am really pleased, I was pretty good but I think it was just retraining my brain, you have this many points for the day, do you want to waste 2 points on that biscuit now? I was really good before the weigh in so I had 12 points left for dinner, 2 sausages, sweet potato chips (these are so good!) tomatoes and roasted carrot sticks, followed by a skinny cow triple choc ice cream (1 1/2 points!). I love that I can eat all this food and still be good. And the 'free' butternut squash soup is yummy!

Thanks for the encouragement and ideas all!

Dont panic Jam, just start again from now. Draw that line & forget about it & just try to get back on track as soon as you can.

Puddings - I'm impressed with your planning. I've no idea what I'm going to eat for tea tomorrow, but I bought a WW cook book a couple of weeks ago & there's some nice things in there that dont sound too difficult so might have to go & do a shop for some ingredients!

I love this forum too, it's great talking to real people & that we're all in the same boat & able to help each other, so good to have you all around :) And yes, typing on here keeps your fingers too busy to raid the fridge!

Vikki - dont calculate milk, just look it up in the books etc. It's def 2 points so dont worry.

Well done Sian, that's a great start.

I made that yesterday, I sauted 1 onion in fry light, then put 1 butternut squash and 1 pepper to boil in 1 and a half pints of vegetable stock and then blended it when they were all soft. I did add about 60g of light cheese spread in at the end which tasted great. I added 1 point for the cheese spread but this made about 5 servings.

I have been doing WW for 3 weeks now and have lost 5 pound so far. I was a bit gutted last night because I put on 1/2 pound and I was convinced I had lost about 2 pound. So dissappointed...

I have now convinced myself that I am retaining water and trying to keep focused for next week.

I'm plucking up courage and joining weight watchers again!! The class is at 12 noon. I've been a gold member for years and got to goal twice. The last time I managed to maintain for years but after stopping smoking:T my weight has crept up again. Oh my word, I can't believe I'm having to join again:o. Better a bit of extra weight than smoking.
Wish me luck:D. Are there any other gold members out there? I wondered if I have to get to goal again or do I have to be within 5lbs of goal? You get to go to WW free if you stay within 5lbs of goal, which is what I did last time (I got weighed once a month) - Also trying to be MSE about it:D:D - I am buying a monthly pass
