Ah another of the forum plod coming to tell someone off

    flowers,

Perhaps you need to reflect on what I have said. Neither tigtag02 or I are 'policing' the forum, however we (like everyone else on MSE) have the right to comment if we disagree with something.

Please don't turn this thread away from the subject in hand.

If I'm not mistaken it seems some posters are assuming others are up to something when all they are probably doing is just answering the question. It's like you all don't trust each other.

Francis1980, please don't think my comments are aimed at you. The negative comments were reflecting those that implied that they would defraud the system. As others have said, we do get a little defensive because we have had a recent spate of posters that have been trying to find ways to defraud the system x

Flowers,The point is that the post Tigtag referred to could easily be read as do not tell the DWP about ANY winnings however large, which would be illegal. On top of this in recent weeks we have had people saying they are going to fiddle the system - they were such a coward they deleted their posts so it is not surprising that people are wary of dodgy comments now.

flowers you seem to have a serious problem here ~ I suggest that you take it along to abuse rather than make unfounded accusations!!

Francis1980 it is just a certain few who just want to run the forum the way they want to.
They gang up and bully people and frighten potential new posters away, and they have even been so nasty as to frighten off some more experienced posters.
And as you can see they are now popping up to defend each other!

This is simply not true. We dont want to run the forum. Nobody has been bullied and there is no ganging up. How do you know new posters have been frightened away? I would be interested to hear the names of experienced posters who have been frightened off, as I do not know any. Check the track records and see all the people we have helped and you will find you are talking rubbish.

dont inform them, but keep all reciepts and proof of your win, or otherwise they will be convinced its money you have earned.

money you win, doesnt affect any benefits unless it takes you over the threshold for means tested benefit.

hey well thanks great cuppa i just had.

well this is post #6 i cant see anything here that suggests benefit fraud the poster has actually said if it takes you over the threshold for means tested benefits.
theres nothing wrong if someone wins a few quid:confused: what you trying to say that they cant:confused:

as long as you are not EARNING regular money or using gambling as some form of moneymaking then i can't see a problem.

next you'll be telling us we have to tell the taxman of our wins as it could be seen as profit:eek:

My mistake it was actually post 4.

Please do not try and imply that I am in some way against benefit claims ~ take a look around the board and you will see that I actually try and help those in need.

We have had a recent spate (sp) of posts and thread trying to advocate *screwing the system* which is NOT what mse is about.

For the final time my first post was NOT directed at the OP. Why you and FoM cant see this is beyond me!

Wouldn't work anyway, childrens savings are counted within the savings limit anyway!

Yet another "helpful" post about trying to fraud the system.

Sorry i will rephrase my wording, put the winnings into your childrens (child trust funds).
This will ensure that they have a good start in life. So now tell me DaisyFlower would this also be frauding the system.;)
