Its about time you let them give YOU a little back.Sky do treat customers badly and need to be taught the odd lesson.Onwards and Upwards0 -
aparently Sky are planning to give all new and existing customers free Sky+ soon. have no idea when?!?0

may i ask when you have to pay if you upgrade to sky +? dot hey require the extra £49.99 or £65 there and then or do they take it with your next direct debit?0

I had to pay mine there and then by credit card. The increase in subscription for movies in my case was added to my direct debitSnootchie Bootchies!0

For anybody who took advantage of this offer, what does your sky + box look like? The one we got was all shrink wrapped, we are thinking that it is maybe old stock rather than a refurb. It has got a black panel on the front and silver either side. Were you given a second remote? We bought ours from Ebay.
I honestly don't know how we survived with normal Sky before getting this.0 -
Thanks for this however I haven't has as much luck as others so think they may be getting wise to this :-)
I called and said I wanted sky+ but wasn't willing to pay £199 plus £65 installation but I knew people who had got refurbed boxes for £49, I was told they couldn't do it so I asked to be put through to cancellations. I was told that the £49 offer was probably for selected customers only.
After lots of waffling on behalf of sky on why you're only allowed one subsidised sky box, he said he's speak to his manager.
Upshot is that I am getting a brand new sky+ box for £99 with free installation and no multiroom charge. I did however have to pay £10/month for sky+ subscription or change my basic package to include premium channels. I have therefore upgraded to sky movies plus family pack for £35/month.
I guess you could say I haven't got as good a deal as others but I am happy with it, which is I guess the most important thing

We are having Skyplus installed tomorrow with the £49 refurb deal. We were on the family package (£19.50), and the cheapest option we found was to upgrade to include Movie channels 1,3,5,7,9 for a total of £30 pm.0

Dear Folks
Thank you for the tips. My brother-in-law has just got Sky+ for £49.00. The advice is "when the second box-card arrives do not activate this, and the second box charge of £10 will not kick-in!!!" Not bad Eh?
Regards
