Sky + Refurb Deal

I managed to get the £49.99 deal at last. To begin with they told me that I had to pay £249 but said no that if I couldn't get the £65 deal then I wanted to cancel my subscription. Was transferred to a supervisor and she eventually offered it to me for £65. I said that I didn't suppose she would give me the £49.99 deal, (thought I'd try my luck) and she said yes. It is for a refurbished box unlike the £65 deal but it still comes with a one year warranty. I didn't have to take the multi room but have to pay an extra £10 a month or subscribe to a premium channel, so have decided to go for movies. Ordered it last night and it is being installed on Friday. :j:j little fire cracker born 5th November 2012 :j0

The woman that dealt with us told us that it might be a refurbished one or it could be a new one. Depends on what they have in stock when they come to fit it. You all seem to have very good delivery dates, we aren't getting ours fitted until next Tuesday.0

Hi
I phoned sky this morning and they said I could get the £49 deal but there was no way not to have multiroom and they could guarentee that noone had ever had this offer! If I didnt wont multiroom it was £249!!!!
Any suggestions? I even called back and said I wanted to cancell and they said my hubby had to do it as it was in his name and he had to give a months notice.0 -
they are speaking rubbish, I got it installed today for 49.99 and haven't got multi room. get your husband to phone them and ask for it for 49 and if they say no then ask to be transferred to subscription cancellation department. I did this and it never went as far as that, the guy on the phone transferred me to his supervisor and she gave me the offer.:j little fire cracker born 5th November 2012 :j0

I think it depends on who you get. The woman my husband got was really nice and very helpful.0

When I phoned I managed to get the £65 offer after being transferred to four different people and threatening to cancel my subscription but the cheapest subscription she offered me was for movie package at £36. Told her I'd get back to her.
If you already have cancelled ordinary sky but use receiver for FTA,
can you get Sky+ installed without Multiroom at £49 with £10 extra PM with a New Sky+ Receiver and then cancell sky+ after few month and keep the Sky+ Receiver or are you tied in for 12 Months.
Does £10 Extra PM means on top of your current Package, and if your current is Half Price then is it £10 on top of half Price, and when half Price deal finish can you cancel it or re-negotiate for 3 more half Price without losing sky+ Receiver.0 -

You could try but you wouldn't have the leverage of telling them you would cancel your subscription if you didn't get the offer. You can't cancel after a few months as you are tied into a 12 month contract.
I wouldn't think you would get it if you already had a half price deal.
Am not sure of the answers to the rest of your questions.:j little fire cracker born 5th November 2012 :j0 -
If you are on a half price offer for 3 months can you get the sky plus deal for £49 without multi room ? When I ask the more or less started laughing. I think they know I like to try it on, I've still got another 4 months 1.2 price so i didn't really want to threaten to quit again.nothing.0
