  • Hi,

well back again, didn't get the winner of the national, or wouldn't be home yet.

I was going to suggest a dual LNB, but think that BexTech has more idea than myself, anyhow this'll give you clue,

Thanks for responding. Any ideas where I can get what I need or how much it would cost? Could you give me any links to what it looks like?

There's usually loads for sale brand new on eBay, or you could go to your local satellite retailer (OK since Sky started doing their own installs and people got brainwashed into thinking the only satellite was Sky the number of retailers around aren't as many as they were in the late 1980s and early 1990s, still you may find one or an independent installer willing to sell one or sell and install for a reasonable price).

Without the card you'll get the 200 or so Free To Air channels and around 90 radio channels - TV channels such as BBC1-4, ITV1-4, Film4, True Movies, Zone etc.

For £20 you can get a FreeSatFromSky card and this adds in the Free To View channels - Ch4, Five, Five US, Five Life, Sky Three and the associated +1 channels.

I already have digital satellite equipment - what else do I need?

All you need to get access to the free channels available on the digital satellite platform is a Freesat viewing card which costs just £20.

  • Hi,

regarding the card thing, you could just use the card in whichever room was being used for the non free channels, I mean if you were wanting to watch ITV in one room then you would be able to watch without the card and allow the card to be used for Discovery or whatever in the other room.

Yeah, you can indeed just move the card from box to the other box. If you subscribe to sports or movies these won't show up on the other box - not without phoning Sky and marrying it up, but then you won't receive those channels on the box it was in.
