hiya
after requesting a copy of their policy from head office i have received an email today stating
1. asda do accept in internet coupons
2.manufacturers coupons can be used to take off 10% of your shopping (at stores discretion it can be more- 10% is minimum..my store let me use a third off...)
3.non asda coupons can be used whether or not you buy the item.asda specific coupons you have to buy the product ..
email also states i can take this repsonse into store to show if i have any problems at checkout...
hope this clarifies the situation...its from the horses mouth so to speak....;)0 -
In answer to the question
I personally take 3 coupons from the customers
Our store allows 10% discount with coupons
What is the point in taking a coupon for an item we sell if you dont buy it !! Seems pointless to me...
Forget to mention on my earlier post - Coupons taken out of the ASDA Magazine can be used IF you buy the item on the coupon...0 -
I personally only allow coupons IF you have bought the item your trying to save money from... otherwise it seems pointless !!0

The point is you save money on the things YOU want to buy.....if you work for asda you should be sticking to their policy which is stated in my previous post (they accept manufacturers coupons even if you dont buy the item)...:rolleyes:0 -

Lucky you to have even got a reply from Asda.....I e-mailed them in regards to asking what their policy was and am STILL waiting for a reply......as a result I have started to now shop at Tesco, just because they took the time to reply and I have printed it out in case of any questions that I get asked by the CA..........Lost business to Asda.......Tesco's gain:TSaved £££'s using coupons/discount codes/cashbacksDone the Edinburgh Moonwalk 2010(yeh !)Signed up to do....Woman's 10K Glasgow runGreat Scottish Run and St Andrew's Hospice 6K run and Midnight walk (13 mile):A:kisses2:0 -
i worked for Asda recently & we were told that company policy was 100% of bill, but our store reduced this down & we had a little red book under the till with a printout done instore saying 10% if anyone asked. This way we had it in writing at the till for queries. The reason they reduced the amount was because you have to scan each coupon & they said it was causing Q's at the tills. Basically they were making us override head office policy. Typical of Asda though, they make the rules up as they go along.0

Don't forget the company policy is one thing but it is all down to the managers.
I must ring and find out what my local policy is just to see if it is worth the time and effort.

In Darlington Asda recently they flatly refused to take any internet coupons at all even though I was purchasing the products. I won't be shopping there again:mad:0
