ASDA coupon policy

Hi there

Can anyone direct me to a copy of ASDA's policy on taking coupons please?

Normally, I've had no problems, but yesterday a shop assistant said she did not know of the policy to take any coupons.

Or have they changed?

Thanks.

When this happens to me I get them to call their supervisor. Our stores take 10% off in coupons.

Which store do you shop in? I wonder if it varies?

  • I go to the Harlow Asda and use coupons every shop. Sometimes they do not know the policy so I advise them of what the supervisor there told me, sometimes they check up on this which is fine.

The supervisor says 10% of bill however I have used more before it depends on how much shopping Im doing and which sa you get.

I have never had coupons refused in Asda as I have in tesco.

I've never had a coupon accepted in Tesco!

Both Tesco and Asda (Llansamlet) have refused to take the value of vouchers off my general shopping recently saying 'sorry, it's a new policy - we can't take vouchers unless you're buying the product'.

ASDA Isle of Dogs checkout lady & CS person says they only accept Original coupons IF you purchase the item. They don't accept ANY internet coupons.

    Can anyone confirm?

I've never really use coupons coz never knew about any supermarkets policy.

I am in the north east. Tesco policy of 50% off is better though.
  • Hi, Im my asda Ive been using 8 huggies vouchers varying between £1 and £1.25 each one (from parenting and child magazine) for my last 4 shopping trips no problem, I only spent £20 pound something last sunday and no nappies or wipes in sight and with the £10 of vouchers being deducted it cost me £10 pound odd in real money. Ive never experienced a problem at all when Ive used vouchers before either, hth

The cashier refused them at first at IoD but then she asked the supervisor who said yes... Strange... same branch, yet different rules.

Was it Original coupons or internet ones? Just wondering.
I'm going to try again with a different check-out person. If they refuse, I'm going to ask them to check with their supervisor.
