I realise that's life rayday and I know the girls didn't ask to be born. I guess I'm just being selfish then.

If you are self employed and spent 16 hours a week working- regardles of income does the tax credits still pay towards childcare?
Yes, as long as both parents are working 16 hrs a week or more (employed or self employed) they pay up to 80% of the childcare costs.

Other parents can't! Some people seem to I am pretty p***d at the moment that I can't do my lifes dream in work and several friends around me in good paid jobs never wanted to teach in their lives are suddenly managing to get part time courses and get on the path.

I try not to dwell on it and think about the other things in live that I do have. Some days its enough other days it isin't.

Sometimes we see others as having everything getting all the opportunities but thats just from the outside. They probably feel like we do lol!

in most cases it's not so complex as this hun....

I think you could find the extra when you needed it for the non funded sessions straight away, it's just that you aren't in the right frame of mind to consider it now. And that's okay cause everyone is allowed a bit of self pity / "annoyance at the unfairness of it all" at times. But it's not in your nature to be like this....

After all if the nursery money was a credit card, you would find the cash to kick it into touch, so view it in the same way. ( i think your mind is thinking you need to pay off Egg before you find nursery money. It won't kill Egg to get minimum payment for once. as long as you don't build anymore debt to it. - i think that is what is really bothering you, incidentally. imho.)

You can't compare other people's situations IA, you don't know what really goes on in someone else's household. It may appear they can have it all but how many really do.

    Morning (((IA)))

I'm not a parent, but maybe the others don't manage it or have had to delay something else?

Don't let it sink you. Have a moan, throw something(s), preferably plastic, at the wall, then get up again. How long would the delay be if you couldn't work it out? Would it really 'kill' you if you had to put your plans on hold for a few months? A year?

These things are sent to try us. Sometimes we can get there as planned and other times we have to delay for a while. You WILL get there

Where are snaggles, Keren and Bunny when you need them. They would talk some sense into you.

Incidentally, i agree with what Rayday says, it might look like others are coping but we all have our crosses to bear to make things work. unsupportive partners, inflexible employers, guilt re using childcare at all!
